New indoor skiing in New Jersey??? WHAT!!???

I saw it, it's like a big orange triangle or some sort of polygon. it's the biggest eyesore ever, but hey, indoor skiing might be cool.

i heard its 80 bucks for an hour of skiing. i dont care though that much, its only like half an hour from my house

"Laurence C. Siegel, president of Meadowlands Xanadu Development, says admission to the Snow Dome will probably be $15 to $20."

Quoted from NYTimes, I sure as hell hope that shit is trueee!

yeah thats real cheap... i saw it from the highway and it looks small but whatever its skiing in the summer!!!! and worth the drive from ct

I know the Mountain creek guys of Jib Lab fame were in contact with them last fall. Don't know if anything actually happened. but it seemed like a done deal at the time. then again they have had a lot of problems opening.

yea i live like 25 minutes away from it, its right next to giants stadium. but i think its gonna be pretty lame unless its all park (which i doubt), but better than nothing for summer skiing in NJ! and for $15 or $20 i guess you really cant complain. but the opening has been pushed back like 10 times so idk when it will actually open. I'm also really pumped cuz in xanadu theres also gonna be a huge cabelas. so i can ski and then stock up on fishing stuff right after!

hopefully itll be like this

Well that photo is, I believe; Noeux les Mines in France; an outdoor Snowflex slope; so I doubt it will be like that.

We have indoor "real" snow slopes in the UK, and generally they are good if you don't get a chance to ride proper mountains very often.

Mainly though the cost of building and maintaining is so high that majority of time and slope space is used for lessons which bring in the most revenue.

Park nights are usually weekly and parks range from being good for what is available; to abysmal.

They are a lot of fun for us in the UK, but expensive and limited; nothing compared to the real thing.

Check out what they are building in Dallas. I spend half of my time in Dallas for work so I am stoked......

The Bearfire Group will transform Texas into a winter wonderland like

no other. Situated on a 250 foot tall 35 acre landscaped man-made

mountain structure, Glacier Peak will keep you busy for days with over

a mile of multiple expert and intermediate ski runs and jumps.

Glacier Peak Mountain Terrain Park will feature a complete snowboard

park with pipes as focal points, including multiple small and large

freestyle jumps, table tops, and rails. The Bearfire Resort plans to

host ongoing events and competitions.

dude how does that work in dallas? its always ridiculously hot there and it doesnt look like its indoors. It said the temps will be like 15 to 20 degrees cooler there but how? and if its manmade snow then wont everything just melt really fast?
