I've been hearing about the new indoor ski area thats gonna open up in New Jersey! (i'm from PA so this is sooo sick) i heard that its going to be done at the end of the summer but i'm not sure. Has anyone else heard anything?

yeah dude everyone knows but no one is really caring because at the end of the day, you can dress up a vacuum anyway you want but its still going to suck.

yeah, its been goign on for a while, i live in jersey, its going up in the meadowlands, like right next to Giants stadium

i have a hard time comprehending how this is going to make a go? cause in 30 degrees celcius or like 85 or 90(whatever that would be) whos big idea is to go skiing for the day?

its sick for the hardcores on the site and shit. but i cant see business being big in the summer months.

to the person a few posts above me....i really dotn think there will be that many tourists going out of there way to ski there i mean i was just there in that area tonight and its a complete shit hole like the dirtiest part of jersey im sure they will get a lot of people from north of the city and some people in nj but i cant see it being a tourist destination

i see business going well. they should've had it for colorado. I would gladly ski at an indoor park that was closer than the mountains, as long as it wasn't extremely crowded. Especially in the summer, i hate getting back on my skis and feeling sketchy doing 270's and all that shit.

Also it could benefit from providing nice ski conditions. If its shitty outside, visibility is terrible, whatever. the indoor place could be a great place to catch a ski day. Also, a great beginner hill.

But with the increasing costs of energy.....sounds like its going to need to be packed to be cost/beneficial. and packed resorts/domes suck.

1. searchbar

2. regionals thread

3. shits beat. i live in jersey. i'd rather drive 40 more miles and shred creek.

it's gonna be fifteen miles from where i live. doubt it's gonna be anything special.

Mine.

It's sick to wake up, go for a ski then later go for a swim or skate or whatever. Indoors dope in the summer

being indoors takes out 95% of the skiing experience imho. i don't think i could even enjoy skiing indoors, but then again, i'm not a park rat and my skis aren't park-specific. in fact my bindings are mounted slightly rear. oh and i've tried skiing w/o poles and it felt so strange that it was almost painful. (=

Yea, you guys probably gona have fun, atleast you wont have some arabs straighlining snowplowing (really) donw the slope.

i can believe that they are gonna make a good amount of money, i mean me and my friends built a whole summer set up just so we can ski through out the summer, but if we could have actual snow, but if you dont wanna take the trip, heres what you do:
-get astroturf and pvc and wood from home depot and build a summer set up,
-find a pick up truck and call your nearest ice rink to pick up the snow from the zamboni
those are just a few things you can do instead of makin the trip to new jersey
