Everyone should be happy that they arent just cancelling the event, and they are dedicated to putting on a event for the snow sports community. They are just working with that they have
I'm stoked to see this. Fillmore was super unique and really captured the location (alkatraz, cable cars, golden gate) in the back drop. The last two years were just sketchy. I remember the riders saying you had to wait for the jump and landing to stop moving from the wind so they could drop in. It was waaaay too risky.
This adds a lot of possibility and I think it's better. to see two or three options on one jump rather than one.
well we had a comp simalar to this kind of setup, a mini bike converted into a winch with about a 40ft jump and a ski line for tow in, ppl were throwin some scik stuff down. this looks like a better setup and they could definately build a huge jump, should be a lil more exciting cuz its totally different
really? last year was PERFECT from what I remember and the riders were way stoked and were landing mid-tranny each time and the jump actually looked like a jump you would see in the park.
The jump was built on scaffolding. That's pretty sketchy. It was an improvement on the second year, but still sketchy. This new jump idea sounds like there are more options and something different than just a big air contest. I think it's a move in the right direction.
easier said than done... we are heading into a recession so nobody can pony up marketing dollars to market to 18-35 year old who probably dont have much money to buy their esurance or toyotas. brutal facts but thats life
