New HH Survival Suit Color

Figured I'd post up the new color for you guys...

I HATE it. I loved last years black, and the orange was sick to. And the ladies, well, that was some hot shit in purple. but next years is just poop. The ladies is poop next year to. Leatherhy, plasticy poop looking color.

The orange is back next year too but I honestly think the brown fabric is much nicer than what was used on the Orange or Black last year. It has a much sturdier feel without being any thicker, almost a pseudo wax faced feel, very smooth. It was hard to beat the ninja black though.

Actually the shot above is growing on me. What I saw in the Helly Catalog at the Helly store looked way uglier than that though.

The catalog really does it no justice at all, the original illustrations made it look like it was a white and plaid version of the survival suit, definitely not close and even the slightly more accurate ones weren't too close.

personally i dont like the look of survival suit all that much in any color. it looks like a diving suit

Do you see the horizontal zipper in the middle of the suit? Yup, it's called the Waterproof Pee Zip.

I agree with you, but if you buy the suit, you're probably not trying to be a big balla, it's just a super functional suit that's meant for rugged conditions, and it's probably 2x as durable as any "new school" outerwear. It is of course based on the survival line of gear HH makes for oil rig workers and shit.

I don't think its quite built to the same standards as their survival gear. Its more just graphically based on those designs. I personally haven't had great experiences with HH gear as far as durability goes, but then again I've never spent a lot on anything HH.

the two piece version of these things are actually pretty cool. but i cant stand the one pieces

Yeah, I just meant the design, and not the quality. Their survival gear is top notch, probably unmatchable by other pieces of outerwear. I've got a helly jacket, and it's been pretty bomber. And if you've ever felt the survival suit, it's a pretty burly shell.

^ the survival gear is made ofr WATER this is made for SNOW. thats the difference. and actually the orange is coming back. theye not haveing any seperate survival stuff and the green one is alot more plad than it looks in this pic. and its a little lighter green.
