New Helmet

smith maze-11.5 ounces lightest helmet on the market, pretty comfy
smith holt- medium weight, pretty comfortable, fits a little bigger than measures id say
poc receptor bug-super comfortable, heavier than both smiths mentioned above, but its also super durable, and pricer than the two smiths.

 
super light. fits big though. the L/XL is bigger than both a smith L and a RED L. i got it from altrex for $45.
 
Don't get the k2 rant, it sits high and when you go fast enough or jump/land hard enough it will slide to the back of your head or it will slide completely off and choke you by it's strap.
 
If you're buying at a shop, take your googles with you and try them on with the new helmet. No one wants a huge gaper gap.
 
i have a bern baker, i like it a lot, im considering getting a smith maze or capix gambler this off season but my bern has served me good
 
im pretty sure goggles are supposed to block the sun from your eyes and face and to prevent mad wind burns but nevertheless i disagree on your thought for goggles on the outside of helmets because in the long run i dont think it matters
but what do i know?
