New GoPro Handlebar Mount

GoPro came out with a new handle bar mount that can double as a ski pole mount, which is what I want. I was going to purchase one until I realized it was $60. Does anyone know what such a small little component costs so much? And if they know of any comparable mounts.

I doubt that will fit a ski pole, 22.2mm minimum diameter is pretty huge.

But yes, seems like a crazy amount to pay for such a simple part.

This mount fits ski poles well and is much cheaper. I don't know why gopro made a new handle bar/pole mount cause this one has been around for a while and does the exact same thing.

Its absolutely ridiculous that they are asking $60 for that. Go make one at Ace Hardware for $4.

1. Go buy old ski pole,

2. Screw hole through ski pole and a flat GoPro mount

3. Put screw through both holes with washers

4. Zip ties and duct tape for stability

5.???

6. Profit????

Ps, adjustable hiking poles work great because they are adjustable and you can use different lengths for different views

Marketed as a handlebar mount but I make it work for poles by wrapping tape around the area right above the basket (increasing pole diameter) so that the mount fits without slipping off.
