i have a friend who does not ski, but knows a lot about programming and is really good. i asked him if he could make me a skiing game, and he said if enough people want it he would. he said it would be similar to dna spin, with 2 levels but much longer, as well as better graphics and a similar trick system. anyway, does anyone have suggestions? would be appreciated by him if u have ideas or cold send him graphics, as well as a name for the game. his aol screen name is gengar56. thanks

sounds like a bomb idea, if you can do it from side, it looks fine, and make it open man, dna spin is kinda sketchy but does the trick, and have a few more tricks that normal skiers do, not freaky named ones

That would be sick. Here's an idea, why not make it run like motioinplaygrounds ski game? With the mouse and physics. It would probably take a while but if it worked taht would be amazing. Also, the sweet thing is, when we all get bored of it your friend could just make us more levels/tricks like the thps games.

 
something like moselys game. The arcade format of that is pretty fun. you know, where you jump and then just hold the arrow do how you want to flip or spin. I hate DNA'a wind up shit. Focus on making a good railslide interface. DNA's blows

just try to keep the tricks looking like they should, otherwise it sounds tits.

make it so there is a button to grind so you would actually grind the rail and not lose speed and make it 3-d not 2-d with slopestyle and a huge big mountain terrain with massive cliff hucks!

soul rided could be a good base. that game is so fucking amazing. It's snowboarding though and the tricks arent very easy to pull off if you go crazy like me. The best is the breckenridge terrain park. I once did a 6 flip 1260. it was fucking psycho.

soul ride is pretty annoying, very limited amounts of tricks, just flips and spins...and all you can do other than that is carve...and it takes pretty long to load...and it is a snowboarder. w/e

yeah man you have my vote to go ahead with this game...make it like the physics of motionplaygrounds game combined with the style of something like amped snowboarding...that would be insane.

 
man super hucked flips are gay... make it semi-realistic... and make sure the crosses are well layed out for mutes, tails, phils etc...

the rotations should be spinning, frontflipping, backflipping, and lincoln looping. you can combine each flip to do any rotation out there.

maybe you could rotate one forth of a backflip, spin a lincoln, and add another 180 to land a sketchy rodeo five?

 
Guys I kniowsuper hcked tricks are gay but the graphic and shit are alot better in Soul ride as well as the view and format basically. And it is fun and if you use the superjet cheat it is so great. It's more about hucking like mad with your friends but not as much a nice skiing game. It would be a good base though. you can get it at soulride.com i believe

Do a rear view, a button for rail slides, instead of just shooting, and also so it counts the rail slides. I think a balance thing on the rail would be cool.
