i thought the last issue from march or whatever was kick ass. The pro trick tip section kicked ass, especially tanner, cr and mcmurray. FREEZE has been run by transworld for a while, it's just now it's completely controlled by them. I hope the new FREEZEs are as thick and have as many pics and athletes and trans snow.

I think it's gay that the core ski rag is now being run by an AOL company...if you didn't know AOL owns Transworld media..

we may get more pagesin a TW mag, but its all adds, I'm hopefull it could lead to more pro riders and sponsor contracts...but I doubt it...AOL sucks!

Freeze needs to do an issue or two in the summer like snowboard mags to stay ahead of the game!

who cares if aol timewarner runs america??? I sure as fuck do. control over the economy and what we see and do is falling into less and less peoples hands. All the pop shit which is ment to be cool has been laid out infront of us and we were told to like it. Having something like AOL own a mag like freeze may not seem like a big deal, and most likely it isn't. We'll probably get bigger mags the same interviews and everbody will be happy. However if something needs to be said which AOL does not like it will NEVER reach the pages of the magazine. I don't think anything the ski industry has to say will make AOL shudder, but hey it might happen. All in all big companies absorbing everything around them sucks. People lose jobs, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. FUCK AOL

yeah being owned by Aol doesnt really make a difference, because they dont run the magazine, the editors and the writers do, so the owner wont make much of a difference, other than the money going into the magazine, which will be a lot more

I like reading freeze, its an amazing mag, but lets not forget Freeskier mag. i think that freeskier deserves the most credit because they are indipendiantly owned and they are as close to a rider owened ski mag as we are gonna get, so i think we need to support freeskier more then freeze because they are not owened by a billion dollar comany and the sales of freeskier mags do make a difference unlike freeze who has millions of dollars backing them. so Lets all go out and buy a freeskier mag to support our roots

In my opinion, there is really no other ski magazine other than FREEZE. I have such a huge collection of them, and I wish i had the real early ones. But ive got a large stack that i read over and over when im not skiing. I really hope that it doesnt turn into mags such as TRANS snow and skate, although they are cool, just too many ads. I highly doubt it will be that big, at least not for 5 years im guessing. Freeze is the sickest mag of all time.

Like I said, look in the recent transworld magazines they have adds for JC Penny, Loreal hair products and a bunch of other bull shit that has nothing to do with our sports...Freeze magazine was cool, core,revolutionary and used to represent our culture..now it's just another part of AOL's giant gay plan to sell us shit they own through mediums they own...pretty soon we'll see adds for freeze on CNN righ along side adds for total bull shit...WE are loosing our voice as far as I'm concerned.

almost every add is for snowboarding in the new TW and who cares, i like to look at ski adds. annd there is quite a bit of articles. but i will still buy freeskier before freeze anyday

Its not going to happen. AOL Time/Warner isn't retarded...they know that the skiing audience isn't sitting in front of the Tv watching Headlines on CNN. i like the ads fools! lol reading a transworld snowboarding mag, well some of the best pics are in the ads. if u took out the surplus number of ads in transworld, u would probably end up with a magazine the same size as freeze, still the same amount of content (interviews, articals etc) but with more cool pics in ads.

You guys are dumb. So what if theres a JC penney ad in a skiing magazine. Its a fucking ad. Just take things how they come. AOL owns the company they don't run it. The thing about freeskier being rider owned and the money matters. FREEZE needs money just as much. Just cause AOL time warner owns transworld which owns freeze doesnt mean that they throw money away into freeze. Freeze gets all their money the same way Freeskier does. If they lose money they'll tank just like every other company in the world.
