New FREESKIER

Yeah. I grabbed it out of my mailbox this afternoon as I was leaving for work. i haven't seen anything other than the cover yet though.

I'll read the whole thing on my lunch-break likely.

Midwest Recognition! soo much east coast and midwest in freeskier i couldnt stop reading, thank you for recognizing the other parts of the skiing community!
 
its not the one with red is it. what was the deal wih that, i got the buyers guide and then the one with red FREESKIER i nlike the same week.

its really good. sooo much content. AB interview and im digging the RTC thing. its on FSTV now too.

 
i cant wait for the next issue, i read this months like 2 weeks ago a work. I love the volkl vs salomon challenge.
 
Yeah, but they left Spirit Mountain out of the road trip thing even though you have to DRIVE WITHIN 1000 FEET OF IT TWICE on their road trip.
 
i really like the new look of freeskier but some of their new sections are really superfluous. Like "Simon Says" and Gear Girl. The last two gear girls had almost nothing to do with gear and the simon says bit is just lame. Feels like a cheap plug for Target.
 
I like their issues this year, but I do have a little gripe with that midwest section. Devil's head in Wisconsin has never done anything to help push the development of our skiing. Whereas Tyrol Basin near Madison always allowed inverts, built huge jumps, etc. Cascade Mountain as well. In Minneosta, Hyland Hills and Spirit have been building quality features and hosting events for years. All of you Midwesterener's should check those places out.

Cascade, Tyrol > Devils Head

Spirit > Lutsen

at least people from other places will know skiing exists here though!

I nearly cried when I saw that they put Devils Head in there... It almost seemed like they put some midwest hills in a hat and randomly selected them to put in the issue.. oh well, if you are from the midwest, you already know whats good and whats bad and there definately won't be anybody from the EC or the west coming here to ski.
 
probably..at least its every month though and not some punk saying "Who is your favourite skier" twice a week
 
yea wow stump got stumped several times

i also liked some of the new "best of" lists like famous chairlifts...kinda cool
 
You guys are all so lucky you have it already, I want to get it soon, but Chapters is gay and doesn't have it yet.
