New Found Respect for Tanner Hall

Today I read the article about Tanner Hall in Freeskier magazine. It talks about how Tanner was bullied in school to how he started progressing in skiing and getting picked up by sponsors being featured in movies etc. He was at the peak of his career and then he feel in to a hole of darkness, which included addictions, injuries and more.

There were a few doctors who told him he would never be able to ski again so he gave up, and even though he was "healed" he was a different person according to his mother. Always filled with rage and unpleasantness. His best friend CR Johnson talked to him about how he was different now and that inspried Hall to drop the pain killers and start hitting the gym, the only motivation was that it hurt less every day.

Tanner was on a comeback getting clean. Then brutally Tanner's world would come crashing down once again, he was on a trip to Jamaica and he received word that his lifelong best friend CR had died skiing. After this tanner fell into a new hole of Alcoholism and Drug Addiction. Tanner eventually started coming out of this hole and said it was his CR's spirit driving him.

Now Tanner is trying to join the US Olympic freeski team for Sochi 2014 (I believe) He is training hardcore but yet is also trying to change the newschool world as we know it, bring more stoke and hype into it. He's super dedicated and is trying to live his dream, He has rehabilitated himself from many injuries that were supposed to be career ending but he didn't give up.

I was really impressed with this article, I learned about Tanner's life and now I see he's trying to bring himself back to the game. What do you guys think of this? How do you think tanner is going to bring more hype and stoke to the game?

I really suggest reading the article it's in the November issue of Freeskier. SORRY IF REPOST.

If you like that, watch "Like a Lion". Such a good movie and basically encompasses everything you read.
