look under privacy settings I think, then deactivate account. They'll ask you why and try to convince you.

Bonus: change your password to something you'll never remember, like a series of random numbers.

That's what I did. Might be a couple more steps, I've been without face book for about 4 months, I love it.

that's kind of ridiculous but I can see the appeal for Facebook stalkers (ie. most people).I only use my fb to keep up with friends and make plans, see photos, and events etc. I save my stalking/loitering for ns.
