New empire t-shirt

wow a shitty drawing of some hooker looking chick on a t-shirt. sweet.
empire just seems kinda gay to me, its just like another overly serious "badass" brand with simon's crappy cocky attitude. isnt it supposed to mean like "simon dumonts empire"? its obvious that simon loves himself, but i don't think he realizes that not everyone else does. people dont want to buy from a company thats all about simon, they want to buy from a brand that represents themselves and skiing and having fun. he made a company thats kinda named after him and all about him. plus the stuff he released so far just makes you look like a tool.
im sick of simon and his "me, me, me, gotta win, be the best, football player attitude.

 
I came into this thread knowing there was gonna be a lot of hate. And as I read the posts there was a fuck ton more than I expected and I almost got mad, you know it's a skier run company we should support it and what not. and the bandana isn't bad, the hats a little lame, but wearable. but this?? It's gawdy and disgusting, It totally blew my mind with its awfulness.
 
Mind you, Norway has one of the best health care systems in the world!

I have also heard from teachers that post secondary education (college and university) is free in Norway. Is this true?

It sucks here in Canada, my tuition is going to be over 6000 CAD/year for 5 years.
 
states is worse, its not all about being "free" tho...nothing is EVER free. you will pay more taxrs for the "free" stuff. you pay more in the states for coll. but it is often better eduction, there are also one hell of a lot of scholorships out there
 
Akomplice design is kind of haag. That is definetly either a threshold filter or a live trace one click job on that girl. You can tell, there is no attention to detail. Empire has showed me NOTHING special yet.
 
Yeah i dont know how simon thought someone would buy a shirt for $42. The overall graphic in my opinion is terrible, i know that i would never want to wear that shirt. Empire has quite a ways to go, but i hope to see alot sicker stuff coming out from them.
 
Well, pretty ugly, but it's just one shirt. Still plenty of time for Empire to prove themselves.
 
i would never buy anything from Empire even if they had sick stuff. Simon is complete tool. I have some friends that know him. He has hooked up with like 13 -14 year old girls while he is an adult. Then he goes and claims that he hooked up with them. He is the cockiest piece of shit ever. If he wasn't such a tool, i would maybe considering buying from him to support a company in assosciation with skiing. But since simon is such a tool, douchebag, and an arrogant asshole i will never support the company
 
Im just gonna throw it out there i kinda like it. Sure it looks weird but its for like the ballah crowd. The fact that its creepin 50 bucks makes it designer sounding and its like a status symbol kind of. Would i buy it? probably not. but do i think its kinda cool? yea.

that white one looks exactly like a shirt i used to have, black lady on a white shirt with a gold chain......like it looks exactly like that except for the angle the girl is on the shirt

i think they pretty much missed their target market completely, as pretty much 95% of skiers are still in some type of school and dont have a "gangster" crew that can appreciate the "oh so balllliiiiin bling bling t-shirt". Plus skiers are only "gangster" on the hill anyways.
 
Guys, please be patient. Empire is barely half a year old now and is still such a small starter company. Candide will definitely be doing some designing for Empire. Just be patient and give it time.
 
Thats an Akomplice shirt with an Empire logo on it! Which is sick cause Akomplice has some sick graphics and designs. However I think its weak Simon started a company off nothing more than a logo.
 
yeah but most new companies have atleast some creativity, i really haven't seen any from empire, everything they have made is just boring and dull, hell even the name isnt original. and with dumonts fame and connections and everything he has no excuse to be making such boring crappy stuff. dumont's just a huge tool.
 
No way, the guys at Empire are making sure they make the best quality glove that will be very reasonably priced.
 
I can't really picture Candide wearing/supporting any of this ridiculous shit. He has to much style to stoop to this level...
 
i think it looks sick,,,,the reason its so expensive is because its limited edition, and it looks like it has a gold foil print...the less t-shirts you make, the more expensive it gets...with only 40 shirts, with gold foil print...that equals expensive shirt
 
Well for now, tell your buddy Simon that the shit is weak and ugly. Looks like a shirt that FUBU or something would make. You say there still a young company, it does not take more than a year to make a good looking shirt.
 
Yes, yes it is. So it $180. So is $35. So is $30. Under that, we're talking halfway reasonable prices. Just because other companies charge 10x what the shirt costs to be made doesn't mean everyone has too.

Fuck paying $40 for any shirt. Shirts should be no more than $25. And this is a terrible, gaudy, tastless shirt. The colors are played, the fit looks awful, the 'girl with the chain' picture is ugly. The saying is retarded.

Honestly, Simon, your a kick ass skier, but you have no intelligence or even street smarts. Don't act like you can run a company when you don't even know the basics.
 
I think it's ridiculous to say all shirts should be under 30 dollars. I'm currently wearing a Bikkembergs shirt that cost a lot more than that. Did it cost more than, say, 50 bucks to make? No, but I'm not paying for materials. I'm paying for Dirk Bikkembergs' design ability: the reason the shirt looks really, really good. And I'm fully willing to pay ten times what cotton and thread are worth for that.

Now, you can say Simon's design is ugly, and therefore not worth 42 bucks, that's just an issue of taste, and to each his own. It's not my favourite either. but don't say it's not worth 42 bucks solely by virtue of the fact that it's a shirt. I have a whole bunch of shirts that cost more or less than 42 dollars, all of which are in my opinion worth more than 42 dollars because I think they look good.

Anyway, stop clothes shopping at Wal Mart dudes.
 
agreed, to simon it is obviously appealing, to u it may not be but give the guy a break, this site is so critcal about everything except themselves
 
not feelin the hate in this thread. yea its stupid, and yea its overpriced, but the only reason for all this hype is because they only realesed one shirt. if theyd let out all their gloves, and a few other shirts, this wouldnt even make a ripple on ns. chill
