New Eminem song - 'Rap God'

Wow why dosnt every single rapper copy kanye and claim to be god. Fuck you eminem. YeeZus and the one and only based god little b 4 days. Thank you based god.
 
I really can't stand his new sound. Also the chorus part is awful imo. That said his flow is there like always. One of the best for sure.

Completely agree, his new sound is garbage. Still respect the dude, but fuck... his old shit was so good and this is just mediocre. I think he needs to start doing drugs again that was his best shit, sobriety killed the real slim shady.
 
Eminem is the most over rated rapper of all time... Some of his older stuff was decent, but in anything remotely new he just yells and acts like he's still legit
 
I'm not sure how I feel about this song. He's still got a pretty good flow it's just... different. I think his old stuff is better though. He was so original with his old flow and style, but he's changed now.

You can keep your 2 chainz or whatever it is you listen to. Eminem is famous for his old stuff anyway, which lyrically runs circles around the awful "rap" people blast these days.

The genre today is more about production than anything. Put a good beat down, and pretty much talk, occasionally mention weed and drinking, and people are like omg I SMOKE WEED AND DRINK TOO!!! THIS GUY IS BRILLIANT!

Strip away everything else and Eminem still has some massive talent. You can't say that about a lot of what people are coming out with these days which means your argument is invalid.

 
Right? Im not understanding all the hate, this doesnt sound like new em at all, its totally a throw back, the whole song is just him flexing his rap game. He changes rap styles like 9 times in the song, and around 4:24... he goes nuts.

I can't stand it. I already said that Eminem's old stuff is decent, but he was never near the level of Biggie, Big L, Mase, Nas, anyone in the Wu-Tang Clan, Jay-Z's old stuff, or most rappers from the 90's for that matter. Eminem's new stuff just sounds terrible and he should've just retired while he was decent....
 
I think it is really good by todays standards. It will be a breath of fresh air on the radio at least.

It's not narrow minded i'd rather not waste my time listening to lil wayne's new album. Did i ever say anything about hating mainstream? I love macklemores shit, biggys shit, which is far from underground. The fact of the matter is that most modern day shit you hear on the radio or on the tv is senseless. The fact that you threw Mase in the mix down there gives me respect. Mase was a fucking legend before his Bad Boy deal and the death of Big L. Throw Cam, Bloodshed and McGruff in with those two and you got one of my favorite teams of all time.

Also Eminem < LOX any of day of the week. I will never let anyone tell me those guys don't deserve the top spot.
 
for real, stan is a masterpiece, this shit doesn't compare. To all the people saying that em goes hard in this song, you are retarded and clearly have never heard any of his old stuff. This is just a disappointment.
 
This is such a stupid post. You can't compare a random single to arguably his best song. And he does go hard in his song, he does about nine flows and a double time verse that's insane. Just because you liked his old stuff better doesn't mean all of his new stuff is shit.
 
i wish he'd go back to doing drugs. his demons really drove his music to a different level. this is still decent and all - the dude is for sure talented, but this just doesn't have the same depth as some of his older stuff.
 
Funniest post I have seen in a while. While I am not a big fan of his new stuff, his older stuff was and still is insane. Perfect blend of lyrics, beat, and flow. Some of the lyrics he came up with and makes rhyme is completely ridiculous. Go back to Algebra class.
