New Edit "TEVA Mountain Games Remix" Please Critique

I know Macklemore has been used in a super unknown edit as well as the opening segment in WE but it hasn't been used in a bike edit yet so I played around with it to some of the footage I got from the TEVA Mountain Games.

Let me know what you think.

I know it's a re edit, so i won't comment on the shots. Unless you want that?

That being said, i think you did a pretty good job with the editing.

Makes me bummed I'm missing the winter teva games this year, and that their photo comp screwed me again, haha
 
Im looking for a critique more on the editing side of things then the filming. Filming competitions can be a pain in the ass especially when one is asked to catch the entire run on film. It kind of limits the possibilities of angles.

no doubt, it's hard to toe the line between coverage and something more artistic

where you covering the games for someone?
 
Just a small website called PlusSizeBMX. I got the opportunity to be a live cameraman at the Colorado Freeride Festival at Winter Park this summer which was a cool experience.
 
it would have been fun to hear some bike sounds in the video. the edit was smooth, nothing super impressive but smooth and ok to watch. the real problem i think are the camera angles....... they were repetitive and after 1min it was kinda of a bit boring to always see the same angles..........

it is my opinion btw ;)
