New Dalbello Panterra 130

Has anyone gotten their hands on, or feet in a pair yet? Dalbello claims to have redesigned the Panterra.

The old ones were incredibly soft. My 115lb featherweight ass tacos the 130 flex. Yet, my Lupos are stiff as hell in the 120 flex. Never made sense to me.

Anyway, is the new Panterra 120 and/or 130 actually stiff like the Lupos, or are they the same old noodles?

Ik it’s not the exact answer your looking for but i’ve flexed the new panterra 100s and they were definitely stiffer than my current 2018/19 ones

It’s a shitty boot to begin with, get a Lupo AX if you need a wide boot. The Panterra is always on the back burner for Dalbello because all their time and money goes in to the Lupo and DS race boots.

This year they supposedly redesigned the Pantera, so I was hoping they fixed the shittiness of it.

I already have the Lupo AX. I've had several pair actually. The Lupo isn't wide enough for me and requires lots of customization. The Pantera fits better out of the box and requires less custom work. Plus, the plastic on the Lupo AX just gets chewed up like crazy.

I'm leaning towards the Lupo HD AX with the normal plastic instead. Was just hoping/preferring the fit and stiffness of the new Panterra would work.

Second worst boot I have ski'd. Fourth buckle is straight trash, and there is no good way to remove it without the fucking boot falling apart. Heavy as a boat anchor and clunky as shit.

Yaaaap this sums it up

Sooooo.... Lupo HD AX it is.....

Just sucks. It's the only boot on the market that is close to the shape of my foot.

Only boot, or only 3 piece boot?

Only boot really. As a boot fitter of ~10 years, I've tried on basically everything out there, save maybe Scott. The Salomon SPro wide was next closest, I just wasn't a big fan of the way it skied, and in size 24.5, the buckles would smash on each other. That was both painful, annoying, and changed the flex of the boot. Stupid oversight on Salomons part.

Lots of stiff, wide boots also aren't made small enough for me, at 24.5, and/or my heels swim around in most wide boots. Yes, I have custom liners and footbeds....

I'm all ears for a stiff, very wide boot with high instep, narrow heels, and a hike mode, if there's one(s) I haven't thought of...

Personally I ended up in the Tecnica Mach1 MV, but no hike mode.

I'm a size 24.5 but my last is 107mm, but my heel is narrow, my instep is tall, and I pronate a ton. These hobbit feet are half the reason I became a boot fitter. I can't afford all the custom work I need ? just haven't had a chance to get my hands on the HD AX in my size or the "new" Panterra 130. I bought the 130 Panterras a few seasons ago, took one run, and sold them because I was folding the boots in half.... but they almost fit!

I actually liked my 2016 Panterra’, though they are a bit bulky and the fourth buckle is not ideal. Was going to pick up the Lupo HD AX’s this year, but decided to grab the Krypton AX’s that evo had on sale. Figured it was worth a shot for the price.

Both are good choices. Very similar boots, one just has a hike mode and tech fittings
