New Crappy Ski Law

its only a matter of time before ski patroll roll around with radar guns and sirens attached to there helmets pulling skiers over
 
I don't see how the word of some ski patroller could possibly stand up in court as the only evidence what-so-ever to get you a $1000 fine or 6 months in prison.
 
why does the law always have to be involved

last weekend my friend was in boxers and a t-shirt while changin his snow pants, 4 kids, me included got our passes pulled and they called the cops for god knows what
 
they have had the job for many years and in their "professional opinion" (your opinion will be considered reckless while theres is professional) you were endangering others
 
It is stated on the back of every Park City ticket and every deer valley ticket along with every ticket sold in this country that skiing is dangerous and the dangers may be but are not limited to Natual and MAN-MADE obsticals. I'm sorry but you take on a pretty obvious risk when you make the discision to go skiing. there are always dangers that will exist whether it is people skiing faster than you or slower than you. Giving ski patrol the right to "detain" and individual and call the "fuzz" is ridiculous. these risks are already obvious, why in the hell do we need to make more rules. Personally I think this law will go no where, unless it is a rare case where somebody is hot doggin around at the bottom Payday and take out a little girl in a princess capped helmet then maybe something will be done, otherwise you will just have to deal with the pricks in red that think they are all that.

It could be worse, my home hill came up with the brilliant idea of a "No Invert" rule (insurance purposes) and these morons pulled my ticket one day because I was doing corked spins.

I kinda think this could work. I mean if it focuses on the whole "in control" thing. I mean if i'm in control riding the park switch then w/e. But if some boarder comes in hardcore and like is dodging jumps and endangering himself and others i think that would make sense to b!tch him out.

What!? That is rediculous. How could you send someone to jail for that?? Our country is seriously going down the crapper, you go to jail for an accident on the hill when rapist and murderers are getting off the hook.
 
well if that out of control skiing law is real. every noob at park city SHOULD get thrown in jail for skiing OUT OF CONTROL. i cant believe they think just because we ski fast we are out of control. ive had that argument with one to many ski patrollers.

Dude... That is the most arguable crap i've ever seen. There is nothing worse than a subjective ass law that applies to everyone differnetly. Well the only thing worse is when its in the hands of ski patrol. I would fight that to the bitter goddamn end. They'd have to strap me to an elecritc chair before I'd shut up abuot how much of faggots they are. Redic. The religious influence in that state has jaded everyones perspective.

I agree with everything, but you are signing a contract (which is on the back of a lift ticket), I don't know everything that is on it, but I'm just making a point.
 
However I don't believe the ticket mentions you act a specific way, only that if you do get hurt that the ski resort isn't liable. I don't know, it has been years since I have purchased a day pass, I don't know what they say.
 
the lift passes do have a statement in there about staying in control... but as far as I remember the only thing it says is they have the right to pull your pass 'ski fast lose pass', that whole deal. Either way, that law is freaking retarded and I could see patrollers at PC being super gay about it.

Ya guys is seriously retarded to think that just because Park City Mountain Resort wants to pass a new law that it's all the mormons fault. This morning I turned on the news and they were talking about this and showed a kid riding switch totally in control looking over his shoulder just ripping a groomer and they called it "out of control skiing"

I really dont think this is because of mormons, but regardless after experiencing the attitude of biootch in charge of customer relations or whatever I am quite sure she is stooooked on using every bit of extra power this law gives her. I usually just do a speck check or somethin right in front of the slow signs and that usually makes the safety people happy.
