I already miss Sal and the event hasn't even started. Who is this chick? Seems like the only athlete she knows is Shaun White. And what's up with KP not standing up for his "frends" and just doing the standard white espn gargling.

 
I suppose that's the real motive behind her. I thought that was what Tiffany Simmons was for cause her "insight" isn't exactly award winning.
 
Sal was actually pretty good. I met him out in Huntington a few years ago and he seemed like a pretty cool guy. Also, he used to be a pro surfer, so while he may not ski, he still has a solid understanding of the action sports industry and its comp scene. Much more than can be said about a lot of the people they drag into the X Games
 
Sal was the man and his dad made great music.

I support Ramona though. She is way nicer to look at and actually knows a lot of the terminology surprisingly. Let's be honest, no matter who was hosting it this year someone would bitch.
 
No one has given this chick a chance to fail on her own. Now you pre conceived notions are just going to lead you to hate her forever.
 
Justo8484 Sal was never a Pro Surfer. He announced surf event's but that's where it ends. Sal went to Julliard the FAME school. Sal was never Pro at anything other than grabbing the mic. Do your home work.
 
I guess I liked sal better, but to be honest, I don't need people to tell me what the tricks are. I am getting pretty good at calling them, and when I don't know what they are, there usually fucking awesome so it doesn't matter. I just love to watch the events.
 
Before this turns into yet another NS hate bandwagon thread, I don't think she sounds that bad and seems to know the terminology. Plus, X Games eye candy.
 
I liked Sal quite a bit. I thought he brought up a great atmosphere for the xgames. You could tell that Sal, being an avid action sport athlete/enthusiast himself, really enjoyed the xgames. But he was no Tony Hawk or Shawn White so he had no ego and still had the enthusiasm of a young athlete like the good majority of the xgames viewers (like NS).

This girl sounds too scripted. She has excitement, sure, but it's not coming from her heart like it did with Sal.
 
wait is sal actually not hosting this year? seeing him in person was pretty much the highlight of my trip to the xgames last year. But this girl isn't so bad... she seems good at keeping the show moving at least.
 
U know what pisses me off is how people actually got mad about that... The guy fucking covered ALL of x-games, I don't have a clue what half the shit snowboarders do is called let alone those bros with their snowmobiles. Add the entire plethora of summer x-games sports and you would need a diction encompassing like over 15 sports to accurately describe them.

Sal's job was plain and simple to get people pumped about x-games, and he did a fantastic job at that. Except people on here have overly high standards for people and hated him.
 
Well considering it was his ONE job, I'd say having at least decent knowledge of most of the sports terminology isn't asking too much.

Anyway, didn't like Sal, don't like her, don't really care. It's the x-games, they're made for gapers, it's only fitting that a gaper hosts them.
 
How cool would it be if they just tried some unhosted raw behind the scenes broadcast one year. No hosts, just tons of people with cameras cruising starting gates, sidelines and finish zones with riders dropping faster, then they could put mroe taco bell commericials with all the talking time saved!
 
No matter how annoying Sal got, I still liked him. He seemed like a guy who was genuinely stoked on snow sports.
 
wouldn't it be awesome if they brought in johnny mosely? just tell him there's a party and i'm sure he'd be down
