NEW CANON DSLRs

Wow, i've missed a lot recently. did you here Leica is coming out with a 50mm F0.95 ....its just stupid because its going to cost between 10-12,000 and the depth of field will be so thin

canon's already dones this, google it i guess.

and i nearly shit my self about the 5d markII

and if the other cameras come out, im gonna have to buy a new wardrobe, espcally the 3d

only the 5D II and the 50D are real cameras.

the 3D is fake as are the 7D and probably the 1D mark IV. I asked a canon rep earlier in the year about a new model pro camera and she had seen the 3D image (which is photoshopped), no plans for one as far as she knows. they may bring out a new (or updated) 1D some time next year but the others are rumour.

a f0.95 is a tad pointless, it would have a DOF of about 1.5cm but i know pros who used Canon's one back in the day. Also heard Canon may be bringing a new f1 lens out.

i also talked to a canon rep and he confirmed that all of these cameras were going to be released within the next 12 months, only the 50D and 5D mark II are out right now (not even really out the 50 gets released in october and the 5D mkII soon after that...) but the others are real and i think you got taken for a ride...

also unless you are shooting marco ski graphics f0.95 sounds pretty useless to me, especially for 10-12 g's

very try- i remember them ssaying something about that in the article, but the praticallity of both lenses would be pretty much useless, like if you were doing a headshot, someones eyes might be in focus but their nose might not be, that how thing the depth of field is...at least from what i have heard, but yah everything else canon is coming out with looks sick

The idea of a f/0.95 lens isn't to use the max. aperture..... a f/1 lens is sharper at f/2.8 than an f/2.8 lens is wide open.... get it?

And yeah. I bought a used Mark II N for $2200 about a month ago. Then they come out with the 5D II for $2700. Fuck. Me. That new 5D is pretty much the best photojournalism camera ever, unless you're shooting sports.

well it must be different here in australia. That image of the 3D is photoshopped. we'll see which of them are for real i guess. time will tell.
an f.95 would be great for lots of stuff.

yeah could be different from continent to continent, i hope the dude wasn't lying to me a smaller scale 1d similar full frame would be cool as hell,

and yeah you are right an f0.95 would be useful for some stuff, but for 10-12,000... it's not that useful
