like the title says im looking into a new camera. Ill be shooting strictly skiing and snowboarding. Im not looking to break the bank but i want someting with good quality capibility. less than 800. Im not that fimiliar with video cameras and such so i was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction. also some advice on some editing software would be helpfull.

hv30 or a gopro HD, make sure your computer can handle HD footage so you can edit it there is nothing worse then buying an HD camera and not be able to edit any of the footage.
 
solid. If you posted your computer specks if you don't really get it someone should be able to tell you whats going on
