false, snowboards would still be around. Tom Sims 'invented' snowboarding at the same time as Burton, and if it wasn't him it would be someone else as the idea of riding a board on a hill instead of skis was already around.

skiers have been using jumps for ages and snow parks were the natural progression. it certainly would have happened regardless, whether snowboards existed or not.

Ignoring the fact they don't support skiing, Burton does many things that are inspiring. I live near the flagship store in BVT and they full public bowl and mini ramp that is open to skaters and in the winter the have a fun backyard setup. Its not just that they have these up for employees, they make them full accessible for the general public. I have never had an issue skiing the winter set up. On top of that, they throw a fair amount of events throughout the year on the features that are entirely free and open to the public to enjoy, win prizes and drink free soda and eat free burgers. I have shown up at the store planning on skating the mini ramp, and ending up eating free BBQ and winning an Analog Tshirt by playing a round of water balloon toss. Then outside of the Flagship store, Burton sponsors tons of events. Sure they may not include skiers, but usually the let the mountain keep the features afterwards. These events help tourism and overall public enjoyment. Sure Burton doesn't support skiing, but the sure as hell support Vermont.

TL;DR Burton may not support skiing, however supports Vermont community
