jesus christ dude we cant make a boot choice for you. thats such a bad idea no offense. we dont know if you have a wide foot. we dont know how high your arch is. we dont know if you have a big pinky toe....there are so many litttle factors in getting boots that it makes no sense for us to try to tell you what boots to buy. go to a local shop, ask to speak with an experianced boot fitter, tell him exactly what your foot is feeling while in the boot. but be honest dont sugarcoat your answer. if the boot feels like shit, tell him. its his job to make sure you have the perfect boot for your foot or something close.

yeah except no where in his post did he say he was a beginner skiier, so he should know that boots are all personal preferance and nothing more. its nothing against him, and if my post came off like i was trying to be degrading or an asshole im sorry i didnt mean to be.

its all good. im not a complete newbie either just to let you know. ive been skiing my whole life, but just got into freestyle a few years ago and had been using a racing boot but those are pieces of shit now. Plus they fricken hurt like mother even if you land perfectly on anything.

Freestyle oriented boots like Salomon 1080 Foils / SPKs and Rossignol Scratches (or last years Softs) are going to be softer and will be less canted forward than standard racing boots... so if that's what you're looking for.

The general concensus on boots is to simply get something that's comfortable rather than something that's specifically made for your type of riding... and I agree to an extent. Using a super stiff racing boot canted way forward isn't going to be the most comfortable/practical in the park... but that goes without saying.

I wear Rossignol Bandit B1 boots... and while they're not a "park" boot... that IS what I use them for. They are, quite simply, what I feel comfortable using...
