New Boots or New Liners

Inb4 go see a boot fitter.

Now that we got that out of the way, I have a pair of 2011 Salomon Spk's that I'm not sure if they're getting worn out or I can just replace the liner on them. I'm on the 2nd or 3rd pair of liners in them and the ones in them now are forsure clapped out. Near the end of last season they were really starting to kill the feet and I don't think i can get Salomon liners for them anymore as the few shops I've tried didn't have.

Does intuition still make liners for boots this old or am i better off going to a boot fitter and getting a newer model of boot. I really like these boots, the fit and feel of them is great, but I know they might be just too old.

I ski the Eastern Canada mainly, but have a few trips planned out west this winter so having a good set of boots is going to be crucial.

I'd say get a new boot. Intuition liners are nice but they tend to wear out faster than stock liners. Not a great investment of $100-200.

If you can wait til you go out west, find the best bootfitter wherever you are going and while you are there get good setup and dial it in.

If your in need of a solution ASAP, Id say go to a shop that sells intuition liners and ask if they have unused liners. Most shops that sell intuition liners will have boxes of old liners. Then it will become a matching game of finding a right liner that fits your boot. That is more of temporary fix though.

call some local shops. You might get lucky and they'd be able to find something they have laying around or they might talk to some reps about left over liners.
