New bike decision....

So I just started a job that pays really well and I've decided that I want.....no, NEED to get a new bike. Right now I'm riding a Heckler with a 36 VAN RC2, DHX coil, and the Santa Cruz X-9 AM build kit. I really love the bike, and the only gripes I have about it would be that it's slightly sluggish climbing, gets a little brake jack, and is a little short on travel for serious DH. However, I do love the way it handles and how I can ride any sort of terrain on it. Anyways, here's the two options I was thinking of:

Build up a Nomad with the same suspension (or maybe a Totem coil), send the shock to PUSH for tuning, and get a titanium spring to save 1/2 pound, OR

Get a new or like new DH/FR bike like a VP-Free, Transition Gran Mal, Blindside, etc. It would be really fun to have a dedicated DH rig, but this option would be more expensive and I think a Nomad would probably be able to handle the number of days I spend at the ski area each summer.

Any suggestions? Anybody interested in buying a Heckler in really good condition?

I'm going to make about $12,000 in the next 3 months, so I do have some money to burn. If I sell my bike to replace it with a bigger trail bike it will definitely be something reallllly nice, but if I bought a seperate DH rig I won't have quite as much money to use. Obviously I'm not spending all of my income on one bike, in case somebody was going to say something about that.

If I planned on doing more downhill I'd be leaning a lot more toward the option of getting a downhill bike. The Heckler will be kept as a way overkill XC/AMish bike if I get a DH bike, or I might just sell it and get one massive trail bike.

Sell the SC you have now and get two bikes.

A XC and DH!

do mainly dh myself.

im riding a ironhorse SGS team

best bike ever! highly reccomened it

I'd sell my bike and get two if I could, but I have a lot of other stuff to pay for. So one it is, and therein lies the problem.

get a santa cruz nomad the all time best all round mountain bike or if you want to do more downhill the the kona coiler will rock your socks and if you want to do massive drops then the kona stinky well be your god
