New Big Boulder Park Website - Post your comments!

oh and some of the dates on the events page dont match up with the dates on the main jfbb site

i like it though, other than that

i think i just got vertigo from how shaky the camera was in that video. j/k ya its def lacks some POP to it. Need some POP art and kool kids smoking cigs. ya thats what it needs

^haha... I'd have to say i sort of agree. It's much better than their old website, but still lacks A LOT in the way of "design" and appeal to their target market. To provide a suggestion, I would say check out the Appalachian Mountain Park's page in North Carolina. This is, hands down, the best park/pipe site I've ever seen.

Thier email link doesn't work.............. Yeah jason appalachian is so all over "it" BB needs to grab that shit to do thier park justice.

on the team thing sponsor is spelled sponser and in the parks part progression is spelled progreshion

Okay it's the beginning of the new season and................................... I need to rant...

I guess Ian is still the guy in charge of promotions, websites and such.... uhhhhhhhhhhhh, If I can be very direct along with a strong dose of haterade, then I am going to vent about something that I am actually embarrased to have people directed to. http://www.bigboulderpark.com/ I am going to say this because I want to know anyones thoughts who is brave enough to post.

WTF BOULDER!!!???????? I talked nice to Ian last year and made suggestions and yeah, he was like oh Appalachian Terrain park, I don't really care for that site and can do better. http://www.appterrainpark.com/index.php So I watched last year... The current site is about as good as the related myspace pages as it was last year. I don't care about the note that says the new site is coming. I understand that they don't want new features copied. But come on...

I guess I should just accept that a place who has had an epic park will not have any information/media related porportionatly to it. piss poor and grade schoolish come to mind with even the first flyer that doesn't say where Mikes and Matts is. It's funny actually the coincidence that while I am stoked that Boulder is the only mountain that I am aware that is sponsoring a pre-season rail jam that M&M doesn't even have a website either.

Everyone realize that this is my personal hang up, cause I am proud of what they physically did on with thier slopes last season and just cause I am embarrassed to give the URL as reference, that shouldn't matter to anyone. Should it. Now when this gets back to Ian and he gets all pissed at me for posting crap like this or goes on about how busy he is or about how he doesn't believe in the internet then so be it! If I am wrong and the website isn't his responsibility then I apologize.

My rant is over.

IN the interest of a proactive approach. What is the problem why don't we have a website of this quality? Why do we not have something that we can be proud of? http://www.appterrainpark.com/index.php

That is a temporary site. It has been up for over a month. It is just there to update all of our events. The new site should be up sometime around Nov 1.

Thats cool and all, and I can understand websites "under developement". What I am having problem with is referring to people to the upcoming rail jam and I get basic questions like "where is Mike and Matt's?". So I checked, thats what set me off.... It doesn't take any more time to list an address, does it? Basic 101 stuff, like listing where the rail jam is what provoked me to write that rant. sorry for being so picky and scrutinizing. :)

its a movie trailer for lost and found... why they feel the need to have it embedded on their site, that makes no sense to me at all.

It's really wierd. Go to Boulders temp website and there is a BB Park myspace link at the bottom which is equally dated. Then I noticed that Ian is one of the only people listed as friends (every other friend appears to be snowboarding magazine or product related) then click on Ians myspace and it goes to his profile which appears very outdated. Now Ian references himself as some type of promoter and encourages a visit, click on that link to his website. another very weak singular web page.

coincidence?

I think it will snow first. So many kids would be stoked to do Boulders website. Shouldn't be a big deal, should it?

sendin my love! :o)

Very good ones, I might add. If you can make it up Saturday to Mike and Matts, I'll introduce you .

Ian said the site is coming and that I will like it. I am amazed by the turnout at M&M's they probably had 180 enter but only 12 skiers. I can really see with a poor turnout of skiers why the resort seems more orientated towards riders. It is simple, that is the majority of who are showing.

Yeah... I couldn't make it there yesterday. I was pretty bummed. I was down that way today though and saw the setup. Looked like it was a lot of fun.
