i sent an e-mail to armada last night about their new skis and got this today:

The line of skis you saw at SIA or our riders riding at X Games/US Open will be available in the fall. Samples may be hitting shops in early summer for camps. There hasn't been major changes in construction. Minor changes include:

New top sheet graphics

New sidewall material

New sidewall construction (variable = 60 degrees at tip and tail, 90 degrees under boot. This reinforces the strength of the edge under boot plus gives you more stability and control of the ski on landings).

Stiffened the AR5 slightly with a bigger carbon fiber stringer and softened up Tanner's pro model for tail presses and nose presses)

Thicker edges

New bases

i also asked about the people who did the topsheet artwork:

The artists involved with our graphics were local artists here in southern california.

Dan Peterka did our ARV graphics

Mike Tea did our AR5 graphics

Sebastien LaRose did our Fat B/C model

Dave Levin did Tanner's graphics.

i'll also add dimensions:

The JP / Julian Pro Model - 126/103/116 @ 191 cm

Tanner Hall Pro Model - 111/80/101 @ 176 cm

and the ARV and AR5's are the same as the ones out now, just with different topsheets, mmmk?

I'm glad they stiffened up the AR5 some, and made the skis a bit more durable. Too bad the new AR5 graphics are pretty ugly

Retail Prices for Tanner Pro Model is something like $575, AR5 is $510, and I cant remember anything else, oh the junior AR5 is like $315.

 
graphics looked pretty good but will they fall apart like this year's skis?

anybody who procedes to call them ugly should step back and look at them ... again again again and then again until there puny brains can comprehense an artform so great it can only be put on skis...
