New area at cannon

they are putting in a new lift at the old ski area called mittersill, this area has been closed for many years and is a great place for back country. cannon plans to add a lift and clean up some trails to provide some what of an east coast, lift accessed back country area
 
I ski there all the time......so heres the deal- its not really new, there used to be a old ski area next to cannon called mitersill (idk if i spelled it right) so ever since it closed you could hike over the saddle which is like 5 minute hike and it brought you right to the top of mitersill, but you would always have to drop out like 3/4 of the way down so you could traverse back to Cannon. This year they are rebuilding the old chairlift, its gunna be a double chair like the original, so the whole ski area will be skiable without having to hike. So in a way its bad cuz all the good stashed will no longer be secret but it will be fun cuz its some awesome skiing! Hopefully cya ther Love Chris haha
