New ar5 are really different from last year ??

I was wondering if anyone tried them and can help me about this.

I know they changed factory this year but not sure about the real quality.....is it just a Super marketing brand or you know is a good product?

not much i'd imagine. engineers are constantly designing lighter, yet more durable materials, so as the years tick by, skis keep getting lighter and stronger, but other than that, i would imagine not much.

I agree, maybe this year is a little better considering the new company that produce the skis.

Honestly i think that Armada is "Branding" over anything else. (good branding indeed)

It always depends on how much money you have to promote the brand itself.

lighter weight, thicker edge, faster base and better durability are the changes this year

Yea quality wise Armadas have been improved each year. Iknow the edges are stronger and the ski is supposed to be more durable as well!!

From feeling em. I hardly believe the whole "lighter" thing because they feel pretty heavy to me. They're way stiffer and feel a tad better constructed and the whole edgte thing and what not, too.

I think I'm going with armada's this year. I can't decide between the ar5 and arv. I ski on the east coast and mostly park and pipe, but powder and trees whenever we get it. Are the ar5s the right choice or is the arv gonna be a better all around ski?
