New Abstract Trailor!!!-POME homie

and this year were gunna try and get the movie out by maybe mid august before we leave for school, and i think we still have like 20 copies of Hold Your Own so i think it would be a good idea to give em away for the first few movies sold...so order that shit quick when he have it for sale

 
soooo siick. are you guys acutally planning on talking about global warming in your video? its so good to hear some skiers acutally beginning to make a statement about this and bring it into view of the freeskiing community.
 
yea burke were thinking about have a liuttke like 3 minutes segment, mack did some dope ass interviews and shit with local scienctists and teachers and stuff about it and its causes and everything so it shoiuld be a change
 
pretty stoked on that, nice editing and everything, good riding and what not... cool message that they are trying to convey, but not totally in agreement with the statement about global warming near the beginning. I took it that they were saying global warming caused the crappy beginning to this winter on the east coast, which is totally false, but i could be taking that the wrong way. Either way, good stuff, I enjoyed last year's film, can't wait to see this one...
 
ya i think the whole idea behind it is played out, i mean its cool to show pple outside of the realm of skiing what all this means to us, but just a little too overdone. sick lipslide pretz 450 out though man
 
that was prettty damn sick! I respect what your trying to do, but as m,any before me have already stated, everyone is trying to make a "different movie." good luck though. OH and just a little tip, it was realllllly well done, but I just thought the font of "product of my enviroment" still seemed a bit ameturish, other than that it looked madd proffesional.
 
looks sick, dont really agree w/ the global warming part, just after one bad season...but good try none the less!
 
^i dont know about JUST one bad season, but anyway i think i'll buy it especially if hyo is thrown in with the first orders

i liek how your signature states that a person should change the world, but then you don't seem to believe in global warming when the statistics are right in your face
 
its not just about this season for the kids that called it out, but you cant deny that our earth is getting warmer and shits melting, whether you think its our own faults or that its natural. both situations (if the human race created it, or its just abother warming/cooling cycle for the earth)are clearly represented in our world right now
 
word. i just hope that some pple are right and that this rapid warming is a sign of an ice age to come, cause that means more winter, and that means more fun
 
coming from a snowboarder, i would say the teaser was fun to watch. nice frontboard pretzel on that famous slc rail and some other cool shit.
 
yea in response to bnfradford i def see where your coming from and i can see how u would think this idea is played cause most of teh time id be coming from the same perspective. Same with scientist, i do agree taht alot of people are talkin gabout making a different movie and not many have been succesful with really breaking away, wit ha few exeptions. hah and i agree that the title was real whack not really sure what i was thinking with that, ill work out taht shit for the movie.

But just to put in perspective what im trying to do this year- Im really not trying to get any inspiration from any other ski or snowboard films. Ive always found inspiration through actual films that really have a strong impact on me. Theres no doubt that the departed inspired me to use gimme shelter, but ive been a stones fan for years and was aware of their music long before I ever saw it. This trailer doesnt even begin to tap teh overall idea which will be portrayed in pome. I have numerous interviews which will be interwoven into the global warming scheme of teh film and believe me the riding will be present and strong throughout the film. Pome will be a movie about riders for riders and nothing else, backed up by a completly original soundtrack and all original HD images. If you arnt convinced dont let this trailer be the judge wait to see the movie, we saved most of the ideas and riding for it. Its almost impossible to break away in this industry and im gonna do my best not to hand you just another throw away piece of ski porn for the collection.

I dont know if it was just because it was the trailer but there was way to much stock footage used and not enough actual shots.

hell ya mack i can tell uve really done ur homework for this one, and i know uve got some of the best riders around maine so noone should be worried about too much stock footy. Should be quite a sesh for heat harvest this year i assume you'll be there filming too?
 
after re-watching that in the confusion the teaser left me with yesterday, i've got a few questions, what is the direction of the film? Because it starts off with one thing, but never says thats where it will finish? Than adds a few more things. I'm just sort of confused on what the actual point of this film is? I understand you want to be different and everything, and maybe i'm blind, but it seems like you put about 5 different ideas for a movie out there, but never really set your film to one main idea for the viewer to follow.
 
^ It doesn't matter, they boost way huge. Like at least 700 feet.
