I was just thinking the other day about how Salomon is loosing a lot of their riders. The only good people that can think of that ride Salomon are

Candide

Dumont

That's pretty much it... so many peope are going to Dynastar, Armada, and K2. It's incredible.

salomon is slowly dieing in the newschool world, they do too much for old people and dont care for the progression of the sport like, k2, line, armada, and 4frnt. you email solomon and you get some rep who doesnt know what he is talking about, you email 4frnt you get matt sterbenz, little companies clearly care more.

drop every thing its saturday time to ski!
 
^Because little companies can care more. They dont have the large workforce, so when you email them you talk to people higher up the ladder. Thats why they can do more for hte sport.

My dad tried to convince me that little companies like 4FRNT and Armada (little compared to the giants such as K2 or Salomon), will soon be big enough to start selling their skis a lot cheaper with better deals (He thought 30% off Armada 176 ar5s..making them 400 dollars, was too much). I don't think he understands the rider owned type company idea, where the specifically cater to just us (Newschool skiers).. Whatever though, I'm buying them anyway.

That is the correct design on the CR pro. However, the actual ski is much, much darker, basically muting out all of the design.

 
you might be right, i don't really know, but at skipass.com it shows a pic of the CR and teneighty, is it wrong?

^I dont think so but i know salomon is coming out with a pipe ski next year. Candides skis got go nuts graphics.

 
next years silver 1080 does look like that. why does it seem like everyone hates salomon. its not that they have a bad ski, its because we see too many people who suck with 1080s

 
I'm pretty sure skipass admitted to having got the caption for that photo wrong. The correct graphics for the Candide and CR pro models were posted by the IFSA guy. I like the camo, and some are saying that the 'palm tree' on the Candide is actually a Marijuana plant.

So we got graphics, but that's secondary to what's in them. Any changes in the core, flex pattern, dimensions, edges, base, etc?

on www.biglines.com they have a video of a salomon rep talking about the new skis' at the las vegas show. and he said the pro models have race bases and that tip/tail are smaller or lower. I don't remember what he said exactly. you should go check it out! good site, tonnes of info!

Teneighty LAB Candide Thovex Pro

The one that I'm personally interested in is the Teneighty LAB. It will have have different construction and dimensions than the 2 pro models and be closer to the prototypes used by them in the 2003 X-Games. It will be rare and extremely expensive (compared to the competition). Details to follow when available...
