Personally I would never buy a ski with a foam core. But thats just me.

^you're an idiot, there's no difference between foam and wood now adays, maybe in the 70's you'd wanna make sure to get a wood core, but now it doesn't matter, they're both just as strong and they both weigh the same, it doesn't matter, go with either

Wood core skis will keep their snap longer than foam core skis.

^yes they did, but they were crap, they'd have tubes at the end of the skis and inject thte foam, that'd cause lots of air bubles, so they weren't to good, now they have a big block of high density foam and mill it down just like wood

wood typically lasts a little longer, but foam will last up to anywhere around 7 to 9 years, by then you'll be buying new skis anyway
