Never spun off any larger jumps but would like to try, any tips?

what size jumps are you used to? and upgrading to?
you'll realize spinning is much easier and requires much less work. a 360 on a 20ft'r turns into a 720 on a 50ftr with no difference in difficulty, plus you have more time to spot landings
just try doing small spins at first. and move up from there

umm yea i've hit larger jumps in the back country like 45 feet or so, i just dont know about the park, ive never really done a straight spin off a bigger jump in the back country just misty's and such i just dont know how it feels

skip straight spins, do corks/bios :-D It takes more balls to try but end up being much easier than straight spins. at least in my opinion. either way good luck with practice man, let us know how it goes, maybe someone else can help more?

Don't get scared and lean back, that is the worst but most likely thing you can do. gentle carve usually stops this from happening. Also dont get scared and start rotating your upper body early.

Why don't you just go to edit account and make "-B" your permanent signature on Suby Forum and this one so you don't have to type it every time.

why do people car so much about my way of signing, help this guy with advice. i'll sign my post w/e way I want. if it bothers you oh well. not sure why it would

It's easier if you put it in your permanent sig, they're just trying to help

And to the op, just set your spin less. To keep from leaning back, make sure you pop.

i made that progression this year, best advice that i could give you is just buck up and do it. i hit my first 40 footer straight air, second time a 3, and third time a 7. at the time i had never landed a 720 but first time of a bigger jump the spin just came with ease just keep spotting the landing and youll stomp it.

Just send it, set the rotation slow (if your doing a 3) and dont even try to grab just feel it then try grabbing.

Set it a lot slower than you're used to. Grab if youre comfortable to slow your spin down (mute/safety usually easiest). Spot your landing, look. Don't close your eyes like I do...
