i was thinking and i dont think ive ever seen this. A double flip but you do a front flip then 180 into a backflip. anyone ever see this?

My friend has done one into a foam pit and I have almost done one on a trampoline. When you put it all together though it pretty much just looks like a double misty.

it doesnt defy gravity. it takes the momentum from the frontie and you spin into a back flip. your body is still spinning the same way your just facing a different direction.

I'm pretty sure i saw this being discussed a long time ago on here (not making a searchbar comment here). I definitely see where your coming from, iv thought about it before, and when you play it in your head it seems like it should work, but in the discussion i think it was proven that it is in fact basically impossible because you actually have to change the direction of your momentum.

itll end up being an overflip to a backflip. thers no way you go do a frontflip then somehow spin to do a backflip

no you dont change your momentum, youve got the wrong idea. your bodys motion is the same. on the second one you just do a 180 and face the other way.

haha but ya it would be really hard to change all of your momentum from forward to going backwards theres enough complicated tricks already do we really need to make more?

well i mean, thats what i always though too, for some reason i just remember there being something in some thread that proved it impossible to do a true frontflip-180-backflip. I wouldnt mind being wrong though, it would b a sweet trick.

This sounds right -- at least that's how I picture it. Your momentum would totally be fine too, you would just have to combine the 180 into the frontflip because you'd need to complete the frontflip facing backwards then go into a true back.
