First of all I have the standard linksys w-whatever-g wireless router. With a wireless adapter in my xbox 360,(ive tried a couple), I always lag. Ive tried a few different types of routers also, and the one i have now works the best. My xbox is too far away to connect via ethernet cord, yet when i do(ive done it its just through windows and shit in my house) i have no lag, but i CANT use the ethernet cord so my question is what should i do? Would a wireless bridge work.. some advice please.

using a bridge will probably make it lag more cause they use a proportion of the bandwidth making the connection. are you getting a weak signal at your xbox? if you are you could try putting a high gain directional aerial on your router and pointing it at the xbox

well, my initial thought is that if you CANNOT use an ethernet cable, your xbox might be far enough away that the wireless is not making a very strong connection. is there some reason besides distance that you cant use an ethernet cable? because i personally have a 50 foot cable from my router to my xbox, and i know you can buy them at your local hardware store like up to at least 100 feet. and if your xbox is any farther than 100 feet away, that may be the reason you're lagging.

that being said, i could be completely and horribly wrong.
