Neon lighting

anybody ever notice how some skis and some snowboards have bright neon colors as their base and when you're waiting in lift lines you notice that the snow is a bright blue or red or green color?

I think thats pretty cool and was wondering would it be just a stupid idea to paint the base tips of my skis some bright neon color since the tips that point up never touch the snow anyways....

or i could just tape glow sticks to the bottom...

am i the only one that thinks when ppl have bright colored bases and the snow glows, its pretty cool?
 
i guess it looks alright. im not really attracted to it much. im sure you could paint your tips and tails but it would just wear off eventually and it would be nothing but a waste of time, energy, and money.
