Why aren't more companies making skis with neon bases? That on3p green glow on the snow is fuckin snazzy. Why don't I see some blues oranges and pinks out there? I know a guy with some salomon qst's that KINDA have an orange glow underneath them, but it's night too bright. Granted the amount of rocker on on3ps is gonna make it glow more, but I feel like this is a sick aesthetic thing that ski companies should be capitalizing on.
 
I was thinking about this recently and I got the idea that maybe some people complained when they got their skis tuned and the people used black ptex to fill gaps leaving the streaks in the color. Highly doubt anyone on ns would care about that but I could definitely see some rich parents bugging out about that.
 
It is because we patented it. Look it up. Anti-Vertigo Base Technology. Allows you to ski in total whiteout conditions.
 
I feel the same way when I was getting a new pair of skis this year I was looking on the buy/sell forums every day to find a pair of line after bangs with the wavy neon bases, but I couldn’t find and, so I had to settle for a pair of line honey badgers, that have a black base with the word “line” in yellow on the tips and tail.
 
imho it does not look good on all skis, on3p pulls it off perfectly, but your regular boring rental/lower end on same bases would be meh... its like a red car, ferrari yes looks good, ford small van? looks cheap

The orange-y base on my K2 Reckoners kinda lights up the snow a little bit. My old Salomon rocker2’s had a neon yellow base that lit up the snow too.
 
It’s a little more mellow than the older skis, but “the greaser” by j skis (founded by the same guy that founded line) has a colorful and wavy pattern on them.
 
I saw a pair of these on snow and thought they popped really nicely. Definite orange glow from the reckoner bases.

I just ended up rigging the battery from my heated rear entry boots to some led strips I glued onto my sidewalls and under my riser plates. I also put some Christmas lights under the tips and tails, but ski patrol got mad when they had to haul a kid out of a landing with a bunch of glass in his mitts. Weird.
 
I actually saw a guy with LED on his skis at Ruka. It was a sight.

I couldn't find an image of the rocker profile weirdly but if you're looking for neon bases these look pretty rad

lol! i kinda of agree, but black is fastest!

I have some old LINE Chronics with oranges bases, that people always said glowed!!

Those 2013 Chronics were unreal
 
Checked this when i was skiing today, my 2016 chronics definetly get a bit of glow, red on one foot, blue on the other.
 
Saw a dad rocking these today trying to teach his kid how to ski. Made me think about how he was probably just enjoying park laps 7 years ago without too many responsibilities and no idea a kid was on the way.

Awesome to see he’s back out there and trying to share his love with the young one.
