Nelson/Selkirk+Newschoolers?

yyo.. just wondering what newschoolers are residing in the Nelson area, i know there are some

im coming out from Ottawa to go to Selkirk for Ski resort ops
 
well i belive there are some pretty sweet rails u just have to look for them..and there arent a shit load of cops is nelson so the chances of getting caught are not as bad
 
i did that ski ops course its was pretty good. Hey matty how was your season in nelson, did you get to travel around much?
 
i'm gonna be moving to nelson in a few weeks, just am trying to lock in a place to stay. does anyone know what kinda work i can get there to allow for a shit load of skiing. everything i have seen and read about this town sounds beautiful, and it looks like theres lotsa newschoolers out there so this winter should go off.

i'm so stoked on nelson.

Im thinking on applying to selkirk college next year for ski op...How is it? does anyone know? and how's nelson for living? boring?..I would aprpeciate any info. Thanx.

im just finishing up the first year, next year we do 1 simester then go off on a work term

the program basically entails EVERYTHING about running a ski resort. theres..

lift operations

retain/rental shop operations

snowmaking

snow safety and ski patrol

risk management

marketing

ski area planning

accounting

guest services

grooming operations

these are just off the top of my head

nelsons rad for living in. whitewaters dope.

I'm another Eastcoaster that's moving out to Nelson this fall for the SROAM program at Selkirk! I'm still looking for a place to live too, any help would be appreciated.
