alright so in wicked i know the general theme and stuff and i get some of the meanings of the parts but can someone answer a few questions. whats the meaning of the tv head guy in rainvilles part? whats the meaning of sean logans part? like in seans part the mood makes it seem like hes dying or hes stuck east and locked up forever or something. and whats up with the getting hit by a train? last question is the little girl in liams part....what do these things symbolize? like it makes for insane and dope editing and adds tot he move a ton but i wanna know whats the theme or whatever behind some because i know theres something

like i said, the locking up is the general theme. if you watch the movie a few times you start to wonder why the mood of logans is like that and why rianville walks away from the key cause hes going outwest so hes unlocked, shouldnt he grab it? and also whats up with the computer smashing in balsens part? its so sick tho like everything goes in so well. i love the computer smashing thing

i think the key thing, he could be walking away from the keys to the east coast? like with the trailer, the skier blinded by money, and the keys in the tunnel with the key lock at the end of the tunnel. and behind that lock is the east coast. and maybe thats why he's walking away because he's already left.

^possibly...another thing is like i dont know if certain things have too much meaning like if its just for good editing or it goes like alot deeper. like the little girl in liams. thats for good editing but the rose has stuff to do with east. its such an intense movie

i got it today and its so sick. Its a ski movie that goes alot deeper than skiing. I forgot it was a ski movie half the time. When a ski movie makes you think, you know its a classic.

 
i watched it with vescovi, and he let me in on what he knew, but id have to watch it a few more times to figure it out, anyway it is the best ski movie ever

i think one of the most incredible thing's about the movie is that it seems like its only 20mins long yet its 45min. I mean shit ive never been through a movie that flowed that well and never had me ONCE look at what time it was into it. i know forward rfa happy dayz and msp movies have ALWAYS made me do this.

i think in logans part it is suposted to show that he is issolated...????? and with the smashing of the computers in balson's(sp?)part, in the directors comentary it is suposed to represent the distrustion of technology..... and colbys section is suposed to represent technology geting better, or somthing like that. eather way its a dope movie.

 
^in the commentary neil says with logans seg he says he wanted to end the movie on a slightly sadder note so i dont know

rainvilles part is supposed to be a conflict between him and the monitor head guy i think

wow this is old, but if you still havn't figured out the TV guy, it's supposed to represent all the media exposure, or selling out or whatever and rainville's not paying attention to any of it

rainvilles part- conflit of skier vs. the media/ fame attention

balsons part- struggle agaist technology

liams part- the theme has something to do with death and then rebirth at the begining and end of winter...im not to sure on that one though

i donno when i watched the promo for it, i thought wow this is fricken soo gay. Weird stuff coming out, wicked sketchy and creepy stuff, but then the music randomly goes to this rock song and its wicked sweet skiing! i think it looked good minus the gay random crap. who cares it doent symbolize anything its a fricken ski movie

wow man are you ever wrong, sure it's a sksi movie but toa ctually do something different with it such as haveing a theme makes it so much better and more enjoyable. it's like iberg said to take a short amount of shots and make a full legnth segment hasn't been done other then in wski 106 and wicked. it's really fun to watch and makes for a good change, i hope more movies are like this.

I dont think it is just a coincidence that tanner rainvilles part is filmed in a parking garage. I think maybe its like the media guy is trying to bribe him by offering him keys to a car or something. and also neil said that the girl in liams part was supposed to be a personification of winter and I think death

the liam/vescovie/kiesel part (and the girl) has a lot to do with mythology.

chris johnson's part doesn't really have much hidden meaning that i know of, but i think neil wanted to have some segments that were more just skiing to balance the movie out. and even though he's not throwing switch corks and shit, i think it's pretty cool to be good at boarding and skiing. i haven't seen too many segments in movies with both.
