Neighbourhood park

i want to set up a little park ever since i got back into skiing(yesterday). i don't really have a place, cuz the tobogganing hill by my house isn't very steep so little speed. i guess i could use my roof, seeing as how it makes an A shape at around 30-50 degrees of incline. i want a way to get some speed and set up a box or rail so i can practice with out having to drive over an hour to go skiing. any ideas? p.s. my street is like 10 degrees of incline, i can get speed, but i lose it very quickly. me and my friends built a jump before but it wasn't amazing.

A- how much snow?

B-get a quad and get pulled behind it, you can make a jump wherever you want. example we built one over a wishing well, it was awesome.

Question A: about a foot, just under, I'm in the area in the east that just got the snow storm.

Question B: my dad has a quad, except he has it at his airplane hangar, and i don't have anyone on my street i would trust with it. also I'm 14 and my dad doesn't have much time on his hands.

just trust your friends. tell them if they pull you then you'll pull them, we set up all kinds of defferent stuff, even like miniature quarter pipes... it just takes devotion.

these kids are 12. do u understand there idiotness? once wen we were playing football i rushed my friend and he threw the ball to me and let me get a touchdown cuz he doesn't even know how to play. he's the biggest freaking' mommas boy. he can go of a jump(its not even a jump, its just a lump) because theres a danger of him getting a concussion.

that sucks... get a really long rope and ti it to a tree near your jump and pull your self into it for speed.. pull hard

i think I'm just gunna pack down the snow i shoveled from my drive way and make a little hill and set up a box like right there. think that will work?

ya it will work fine, just pack down the snow or maybe throw some water on there to freeze it - and push hard with your poles adn you'll get speed

or try building a mound of snow as a drop in ramp - thats worked for me before

i got an idea from reading a different thread. i can move my parents table thing in the backyard and set up a drop in like 8 feet tall, or just build some kind of rap and then cover with water and snow. i do have lots of wood in my house, since we're doing reno in the basement, but all the walls are done. so i'm gunna go beg my dad.

wat skis do u guys recommend for me. i'm 5 foot 6 and am beginning freestyle, after switching from snowboarding. i want something for everything, from back country to park. twin-tips please.

My friend built a 15ft drop in at his place. Its just this huge tower that has a ramp leading down that works pretty well if you have snow on it.

well i'm going to Blue tomorrow and i think that will be my last time snowboarding, unless i rent some skis. during march break i'm going to the states, Ellicottville, New York. By that time i want some skis. what do u recommend. i need something to ride on. also some links to really cheap equipment.

i wouldnt get skis from sport mart, i worked there for like a month and a half this winter as a ski tech and nobody knows what theyre doing
