********************NEEED A QUICK ANSWER*****************

They would make sick urban skis. For park and all mountain they are wayyy too short I'd say. If i were you I would look at 165 and up or so. More around the 170 range would be right i think. It takes a while to get used to longer skis but they are much more stable and powerful and you will like it.

You definitely do not need longer skis. 158s will be fine, you're like 4" shorter than me and I can still rip my old ARVs, which are 165s. If you're not actually hitting huge jumps alot, and spinning them, then you should be fine. It also depends on weight, what you're skiing, etc etc. I don't see why 158 would be too short, but a little more info would help.

not necessarily "wrong". some people like short skis. but i like him, would say yes, longer will probably be better

listen to this dude. I am 5"6 140 and i use to ride 169's for a few years. Finally decided to get 179 anthems and then 177 STL's. I would never go any smaller now after riding a longer ski. Unless you plan on only doing urban, sell them and go bigger. I think anyone that tells you different has never hit a serious jump line before where that little extra stability is needed.

be careful, because some guy just made a thread about how he got 176 Suspects because people on here recommended longer skis, and he wishes he had gotten a shorter pair. Just sayin'. On a different note, my little brother was riding 145 Salomons for 2 seasons cause he got them free. He could spin like crazy on them, cause they weighed nothing, but he had to stick every landing perfectly if he didn't want to explode. He has 165 TNKs this year, so we will see how those turn out when there is some snow around........

they would probably be good for urban because you can spin real fast and the tips would be less likely to catch on the rail because they are so short. try some crazy lipslides with them!

but for allaround skiing yea id say they are too short. I'm 5'8 and i was skiing some 164s as park skis last season, and they were so unstable in the air. un-butterable as well
