need wetsuit

I need a wetsuit; anyone have any suggestions? It's for use mainly in Long Island Sound from about April or May into probably october. For sailing and windsurfing mainly. Thanks.

But I don't know if a stores the way to go, ya know? Like, there's the internet and stuff and i could get a used one for lots less. Plus, don't you think it'd be kinda sketchy to, idk, buy something at a store?? Like, you know what I mean? There are people there and stuff and they could like, trick you into buying something and then steal your money, and then rape you... I just don't think a stores a good idea...

Yeah, just to let you know, i'm bored as hell, so i really don't mind you giving me something to occupy myself with. I've got time to burn.

Now, if anyone has any comments that would be of any use to my original purpose in this thread, that would be just wonderful.

 
I'm like 6'4' and bout 180lbs, so I'll probably be hardpressed to find one that fits perfectly. I've seen bodygloves chart and the closest they come is with a large tall

 
yeah i'm about your weight only im 5'11 and it's a tight fit. wouldn't work for ya

I'd rather be rich than stupid.
 
did you ever think of going to the beach and finding someone about your size and hight and beating the living shit out of them and taking their wetsuit?

 
I have a body glove short wetsuit and i like it but i dont think that would be good for cold water.

I got my wetsuit at gart and it worked really well. i think its a o'neil one and i was swimming in like 45 degree water and it kept me nice and...warm and comfy. u should go there but they only sell them in the summer. so yeah ebay

Honestly, I am a windsurfing junkie and have found that it's better to pay a little bit more and get something that is geared towards your sport with respect flex and fit. I would go to a windsurfing shop and try some one.

I personally have: a O'Neill FLX 5/3, O'neill Evolution 3/2 and a body glove 3/2 shorty. I have had success with Okespor as well. Some places that i have bought online are:

I really stress trying them on and making sure they fit and flex right. I dont buy used suits ever. I know most people pee in the suits and thats just bad.

 
if you're mainly in the spring and fall, you should probably get 3/2. It's not too cold down at long island, and that should be the right thickness. and whatever you do, don't get neosport. they itch.

what else did you want. It's kinda like a ski boot, you got to try different ones on to see what fits best.

 
just seein if anyone had any more suggestions, like yours, which was really helpful by the way, or any more types that they liked or whatever.

 
i would buy one brand new i think a lot of people pee in there suits and i dont think i would like to be in that suit after

 
i woudl go for the 'farmer john' it was full legs and then like half your upper body, thats what i use for sailing cause your usualy not completly under so it works really well. also thinkness is a big deal dont get really skinny stuff but dont get to thick or itll be too hard to move well the water here is about 7 degrees celcius and thats cold so a little hint is get socks or boots they help SO much
