Need to know NOW PLEASE...Z12 TI

Are the salomon z12 ti a solid binding? if they aren't id like what you guys think i should get in the $100-$170 range. im replacing the marker 11.0 frees i got last year because they suck. they're gonna be mounted on '08 chronics -1 from center

No. Plastic, ultralight but easy to break. The cheapest solid binding is the look PX12 but they are pretty heavy and still not too great. Look at Sth12 maybe but might be out of your price range.

px12 are better than sth12 and z12. salomon bindings are all pretty crappy except for the super high din ones but seriously avoid em if your looking for a 12 din. go with the px12 or rossi sas2 120

everyone hates on z12's but i destroyed mine last year and they held up really well there also supper light i have them on my reno jibs and its the lightest setup ive ever held or felt just bought sth 12's hoping thell hold up well despite the reviews

I got z12s cuz they were light and cheap, and have really regreted the decision. If you ski hard prerelease will become incredibly annoying, and kinda dangerous too.

Two things-

First, best binding in you price range: http://www.powder7.com/sale-skis/ski-bindings/New-2009-Head-Mojo-15-Wide-Brake-Ski-Bindings . If you really need the Peak 18 PM me.. but you more than likely don't. Peaks are the best bindings on the market IMO(and all good tyrolias) followed by good sollys like: 914 lab: http://www.skis.com/race-ski-bindings/c435/salomon-914-lab-ski-bindings-p131815.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=googlebase&utm_campaign=googleproductsearch STH 16(NOT STH 12 or 14), S912/S914 and S916(but the S916s are steel..).

Secondly: Don't mount you Chronics -1. Just trust me on this, you will love them in park way more at -2.5 or -3 than -1. I am not saying this because it is my favored mounti n general, but because mounting CHronics that far up fucks up the flex and sidecut a ton. They just feel bad. Mount at least -2.5 and they will be better than -1..(they were made to be -6(stupid move of line, maby they need to make a " Chronic Park" made for -2) so the flex was made around that mount(much more than a ski like PCs/AR6s/Dumonts) and will feel bad that far up).

I used marker free 12's all last season. They are sort of breaking but I plan to ride them till I literally just stomp one of them apart. Only have ejection problems on those ribbed pvc pipe things.

i threw z12s on my invaders just so id have a superlight ski that i could trash. i broke them at the end of the season on my first try on on a bindsoul hahaha. anyways, they are superlight but could break if you are aggressive

i had a pair of z 12 tis on some chronics a couple years ago and they had been my urban summer ski until i landed wround on my setup and the heel broke completely in half so idk if i would get um they are super light and seamed like they wouldve held up for my park ski but i would step up to the sth14 if you could

Ok so i found; Rossignol Axial 2 120 pro's for $130,Salomon STH 12's for $130, Dynastar PX12 Lifter Wide for $135 and Look PX 12 TI Jib wide for $138......which ones would you guys reccommend?

listen to this. both these are better than PXs. PXs are pretty crappy, especially the all plastic ones. thats a pretty damn good price on both of those, and either would be much better. 914 Labs are pretty legit clamps, and while i cant speak for the peaks personally, ive heard tons of good things about them.

Word, I have had PX12s and SAS 140s, and have never had a single problem with either one. Stayed on when I wanted them to, came off when I needed them to. Nuff said.
