Need to compress avi

cant, im using premiere 1.5, i think it was made in the 1700's. i am trying to use handbrake to do it, do you think that will work
 
Alright clearly you are exporting in full quality which is fine for some purposes. In this case you need to compress. I haven't used premier in 2 years since I have moved to FCP so i am a bit hazy on how to do it. I believe its file-->export-->media encoder or something like that. From there you will want to make the format to .mov not .mpeg! .mov is so everyone can watch it and plus quicktime is much better.
