My friend and i want to get good at some random extreme sport. For example longboarding, inlining, parkour, dirt jumping, trial biking, extreme ironing, curling whatever. We just want some random extreme sport to get good at this summer. WE have the basics for all the things above but we just want to pick one thing to get really good at.

Any ideas?

+K for good answers

BMX is so fun. It's so easy to get creative. If you get a freecoaster, it makes things very interesting

Well, you said cheap, so parkour. All you need is shoes, underwear, pants and socks. Not even a shirt.

i really want to start biking. was never a big fan of bmx, but i'd love to do some casual trail biking, dirt jumping, maybe even some down hill. that kinda thing. bikes are pricy though. dangg

BMX for sure. Building a custom bike is pretty expensive, but you can get a decent complete for a few hundred and you can ride it everywhere. Skateparks (if they allow bikes), street, dirt, etc. It's pretty easy to learn the basics and really fun to just mess around with.

extreme ironing

this i love bmxing but its easy to get used to stuff without a freecoaster. longboarding is sick too. check out vurtego pogo sticks. i've got one, their hard to use and it would be extreme if you got good at it

slackline is cheap as hell and makes a lot of fun...

if you get better you can walk over rivers/small canyons and other shit. might look a little goofy, but you have constant progression from day one and as is said earlier, tons of fun.

i would try skateboarding, but my ankles are fucked up already and idk if its very intelligent to do it.

and house running is another option (i know its german, its a parody on all these extreme-sport presentations, they talk about how you have your house and how great it feels, how it cant be compared to ironing or mowing a lawn, how around-the-house-running and into-the-house-running will be the next shit and maybe even running-out-the-house-afterwards could become a viable option):

Me and a good buddy of mine mtn bike once or twice a week. And once in a while we make. Trip somewhere to some sick trails. It's a lot of fun and decent exercise.

Pick up longboarding.

Think I might pick it up again this summer. Along with road cycling.

And for God's sake, stay away from NSG.

skating. seriously if you dont already do it. i started with one of my friends the end of this last summer and skated literally everyday this past fall. super easy to just pick your board up and go skate all day. while it can be intense mostly i would just have a super mellow time cruising bowls and quarters. im still super bad at like ollieing and shit but it is super fun. i highly reccomend it

I have a slackline set up in my backyard. So stoked the weather is finally starting to warm up been getting out there.

Longboarding is fucking awesome, getting a job is pretty extreme as well. Plan on spending most of my time acquiring one of these.
