Need Some Trick Tips

Hey

I'm going into my 4th year of skiing, second of free style and needed soem trick tips. Last year I started to learn how to do 360's but can't do them every time yet which sucks. I can do all the grabs easily and big, but not spins. I tried to spin as much as I could before and I only donea 450 off a table top. How can I spin faster?

Two other things I wanna learn this season are rails and back flips. I can do back flips on trampolines no problem, so should it be that much harder off a proper kicker? I saw a friend learn how to do them the painful way by landing on his neck a few time. He only had a concussion and threw up a bit but thats about it, so I was hoping for some tips.

And for rails i've tried them and ended up knocking my balls off of the rail. Whats the trick to doing rails and boxes? Lean forward? My skis always seem to slip out from under me. And is speed good? Like the faster the better?

Anyway I hope you guys can help me. I saw some of your video's in the video section and you guys can do some pretty sweet shit, hopefully you can help me out, thanks.

The trick to rails is commit. Pretend your jumping onto a skateboard, that's the kind of feeling its like. The faster your going the easier you'll be able to balance

for rail o straight up to the rail and just turn into it so your feet are right above the rail. Try to get your skis perpendicular to the rail or you will fall and nut yourself. As for leaning, lean down the hill and not backwards and have your feet wider apart so you dont slip. Then start moving them in when you get the hang of it

yes, you need speed when you rail and try to have same amount of weight on both skis, the reason why you just slide off the rail is prolly because you're leaning back too much..I did that too when I started railing. as for 3s just practise practise practise and eventually you'll nail them

heres my tip for 3's

if you spin to the left keep your left ski going forward but carve with your right foot this will give you enough pop and spin to do a ground 360

if you spin right do the same but keep your right ski going straight and carve with your left

Ok wicked, thanks for the tips. Now I don't have 3's down so my next question is jumping the gun. I heard doing cork 5's was easier then doing a cork 3. Exactly how do you do them and how is doing a cork 5 easier then doinga cork 3. Thanks again

OK I can't help with your cork thing, but a last advice for your 3s and 5s: spin bylooking with your head, like look let if you want to lurn left and ke¸ep looking further to the left until you spot your landing with the number af spin you wanted to do. it is a lot much easier like that.

i find if im learning something, ill have the look of the trick in my head and ill go for it and completely die. then ill get up, pick up my skis and be like "what the hell happened" then you have to go through each motion in your head. seperate what you need to do for each trick and do them individually, not as a whole.

railslide: drop in. gain some speed. pop. rotate full 90 degrees. keep skis flat (weight evenly dispersed). rotate 90 off.

i think it micht be easier to do a cork 5 becasue of when u go corked, u have more time to bring it around and level out again, but it also depends on the sizer of a booter u are hiiting...for me...the tabels are fucking tiny so it doesnt matter anyways

speed is key. the faster ur goin the more balance you have and the less time ur on the rail. weight on front foot bend ur knees try not to land on the rail hard absorb it. keep ur entire body 90 degrees and look at the end of the rail. keepin ur weight on ur front foot is the msot important, thats where the worst falls come from when ur feet fly out and hit ur hip on the rail. and turn 90 so u dont nut. then lookin at the end of the rail will make you slide the whole thing as will centering urself to the rail as you come up to it, the longer the rail the better you need to center yourself. jumps and spins just try em over and over and over. thats the only way for everyone to get em

definitely try not to come down too hard on the rail as it compounds any problems you already have, pretend you're jumping on a baby
