I am a baseball player first off. Im a freshman in college currently i go to franklin pierce university in NH for baseball we are ranked top 5 in the nation (D2). the school is not for me and to make a long story short i got really depressed living in the middle of no where with having no life because of baseball, which i love with all my heart and would do anything for it. I got my release form and got offers from about 5 other schools so far. This year has been the hardest for me to get through and just want some thoughts on what to do. Do i follow my dream of playing ball at coastal carolina or play it safe and go to school back home to where i would guarantee start and play everygame? Its tough for me to make this decision. Now you guys have never seen me play but i had a few D1 offers but nothing major. I dont want to make the same mistake i did and i just wanna give up but i cant cause i love the game so much any suggestions or comments are welcome hopefully you kinda understand where im coming from

I would go to coastel so later in life you dont look back and have regrets. But thats just me. I would rather know I tried then never even attempt. Vibes

Stick with your dream!

You'll get over your mild depression and be glad you didn't transfer. Read some good books to get inspired. The first ones that came to my mind were Unbroken and Lone Survivor...very inspirational and it will make you realize your situation is awesome.

Scranton PA and marywood, misericordia or the university of scranton and yes i did, but they are done recruiting already cause they are pretty big D1 and it would just be hard and stuff transfering in

Fuck going home.

Im a few years into school and seen plenty of friends make poor irrational decisions like moving back, you'll regret it soon after doing so and probs forever.

STICK WITH YOUR DREAM

Follow your dreams man! If you feel like going home is the safe play dont do it. Home will always be there for you, cause its home. Take the risk and go for it. There is no reward without risk, FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS. You wouldn't believe the feeling you get when you finally achieve them, its unreal.

definitely don't give up, coming from someone who was in your position but had it end because of shoulder surgery i can relate to how you're feeling. when it comes down to the decision all you should be thinking about is you, will it make you happy. research the schools you have in mind, i'm sure you're aware of how their baseball programs are but look into nightlife and the location and go somewhere that you feel you fit in

yea coastal is perfect its in myrtle beach literally 2 min away from the beach and the night life down there is unreal cause of the vacation hot spot. i love it there
