if you have lots of money, buy some armadas or joysticks, if not buy some cheap ass scrached up poles, but that are straight and not dented up, grind off the paint with a steel brush grinder, and spray paint em up. ski poles for 10$ its the way to go

i got mine for 25 cents from a garadge sale they still have the sticker on them

I took 2 orange nd black poles they have in x's at mountains. I then cut them and put on my old bike grips. They don't have a basket but who needs one. Poles are the same. (I got new ones for the season. There handy-downs)

I painted mine white and threw some checkers on them myself. Now i have some steezy joysticks for about a buck.

hahahaa you worse then that guy whos so cheap he buys 2 ply t.p. and seperates it so he has twice as much

i found my poles in my basement two years ago. they're super old scotts with the hard plastic handle and leather straps. mothafuckin bulletproof.

Haha I snapped my pole (old scott one found in the basement also, with sick hard plastic handle) I took it to guest services at the mountain I was at; our dialouge:

"Hey I snapped my pole, got any extras"

"Sure (looks in back room, comes out with poles) here you go"

"Thanks"

"Yeah I'll hold on to your broken poles, and just bring me those (good) poles back at the end of the day and I'll give you yours back"

Peace. I got some sick racing poles with poleguards on them. He actually wanted me to bring back the poles, which someone else had lost.

shit this reminds me i lost a pole at baker last weekend and need to score one pole before WSI this weekend damnit where can I get one pole?

dude, i got these crazy poles for like 200 bucks, theyre so much better than any other poles, i dont know why, but they are... ya i got rentals from back in the day, even tho i never rented em, just walked in, told the people 'hey, ya i forgot to grab poles' and walked out, its all you gotta do, they pay like 10 cents for 50 of em anyway.

I buy mine from the bargain pole bin then mad spray paint them up. I dont replace them until they break, I just bend them back till then

i go get some from the lost and found

and style them with some fancy smacy duct tape

kiddy poles+duct tape= sooo much fun

Personally i don't give a shit about poles just look for some old crappy neon green gripped poles and baskets and you got ultrasteeze

i took the carbon fiber off of a hood of a car in the parking lot and rolled them up into poles and i put my own cheeta skin handles on them

i'm pissed i got some cheap scotts and bent them and then i got another pair and bent them.. someone asked me why i ski with GS poles.

Poles are so over rated. Ive seen both joystick and armada poles break in from of my eyes. They are just overpriced 5 dollar poles you can buy at a ski swap. Only exception to this is carbon fiber poles that are like 100 bucks. I got them for 5 bucks at my shop when i bought skis and bindings (some shop dealy thing) and they are the best poles ever.

my aunt bought me some nice k2 silencer poles for christmas.

Snapped em first day, back to rentals

why would you be a dick and steal poles when the dump has ill poles sitting there for you to take?? put 'n take biotch

Yeah, Goode's rentsl poles are sweet, try to find some.

I always thought buying the cheapest poles possible was the way to go so that you could replace them easily, but I got some Kerma carbon and fibreglass ones this year - Dynastar sent me them when I wrote "130cm ski poles" on my order, I thought they'd send the cheapest. Anyway, thhey rule. I normally snap at least one pole every 10 days but these have lasted almost 100 this year with only minor chips. Paint sticks to them better than metal poles too.

my rents got me some scott's at this sale for $15 and they got this kinda oval shaft which makes them uber strong and they havent' bent or anything.
