im talking to a girl and she is boarderline cutting herself and making plans to kill herself

wtf do i do? iv ebeent alking to her for about an hour and a half and i cant get her to calm down. i proposed we hang out so she keeps safe but she cant go out. i need help

 
keep her on the phone for as long as you can. i was in the same situation about a year ago but in the other position and i was talkin to a girl that just kept me on the phone for like 6 hours until i fell asleep on the couch.
 
truth. She's just desperate for attention. I dated a psycho bitch before, my suggestion is that you make sure she is stable, but slowly distance yourself from her because its only going to be more of a problem for you.
 
same. Just keep telling her over and over the same stuff. reassure her everything is okay and that she doesnt need to do it. Offer her words of comfort. let her know your her friend
 
Why don't you go to where she lives? Like others have said, if hse was going to do it, she would have dont it. She would not have called you and stayed on the phone.
 
Dude if it ever happens again, you should definitely get your but over to her house. (assuming you can drive or it's within a close distance). I was texting a girl who sounded like she was super depressed and I knew she had a history of hurting herself, so I drove over to her place and walked in. I was right, she had taken every pill she could find in her bathroom. I was super worried that I would walk in, everything would be fine, and I would look like an idiot. But, trust me, people like to know that other people care that much about them. So, don't be afraid to show up at her house.
 
well, i guess shit calmed down but, try to keep them on the phone as long as possible, or get your shit over there.
and its not always a plea for attention, i tried to kill myself once, and then right before round 2 my friend called me up and talked me out of it.

actually no, i had bottle of oxy contin and a razor beside me before she called and still ended up taking some of the o c but not enough to o.d.

considering that you don't know shit about who i am or where i'm from you should probably just fuck off before writing me off as 'looking for attention'
 
yeah thats real dick, think about it before you say something like that.

thats happened to me before, and it sucks. i told this kid straight up what i felt and it worked. i just told him that this was all in his head and there were people who had it way worse than he did and that he needed to stop looking for attention and man up to his problems. idk if id suggest doing that tho, it might make it worse.
 
Damn dude nice job on talkin her out of it. It's crazy when you think about if you wouldn't have picked up the phone, or wouldn't have called her, she could be dead by now. Good job yo

i pretty much had to do the same thing for a guy i know, except hes still fucked up now and is all aggressive and violent and shit. i just try not to associate anymore, it was really getting to me head.

and i'll never understand how someone could even consider or do something as selfish and terrible as trying kill themselves or put that burden on other people....how is it possibly that bad. but word, nice for doing the commendable thing.
 
dont call her bluff even if ur rly sure shes just seeking attention cause its not like a game this is someones life and u dont wanna have to feel responsible for something like that

a kid did this at my school last year and was rly depressed and killed himself when everyone just thought he was going through a rough time
