Need some real ski help

I am going to spend next winter skiing big sky and bbowl. I have a couple pairs of park skis, some 171 and 176. I am 155 and 5' 11''. I might add I am trying to work out and put on some muscle to gain a little weight but dont count on it. I am looking for a mid fat or fat ski that I will use for days with more than an inch or two of fresh and for back country style stuff, you know some light hiking by the resort, nothing too crazy but I would like them to be able to do some charging. I also like to have a little play in the ski for tossing 3s and backflips. I have looked at lots of skis from Scratch BC, Seths, Bents, Lizzies, Guns, JJs the works. Just looking for some recommendations, I am not only looking at new skis too so anything from the past couple years. I think I want a length between 172 and 179.

Also I will try to give you an idea of my skill. I can rip up anything inbounds at say copper, keystone, steamboat, or vail with speed and confidence. I like to do some drops off rocks in about the 10-15 foot range. I am not good at park. I can hit most features, but can only do some 1s and 3s.

bents measure 184 if u got the 179 jut to let you know. next years JJs are wider and fatter with a rockerd tip/tail. imo get some EP pros and mount center so they will ski shorter. they are noodles by the way

he said he wants a midfat ski that can charge. EPs are the exact oposite of that. Id say go wiht the 179 seths, there a pretty good all around ski and are good in pow. There pretty soft to so id say go wtih the 179 which is really more of a 182 rather than the 169 which is like a 172. youll b a lot happier with the bigger ski

bump, thanks for the info, Yes I agree EPs and Bents are prpbably not for me, but as well I will charging with respect to my skill level that I think I described pretty good. The seth does seem like a good choice.

Get a Nordica supercharger enforcer its 98 underfoot and you can get it in a 175...it has a stiff but still fun flex and has a 21m TR so you can whip it around...

Superchargers are pretty good, they fall right in line with gotamas...both stiff charging skis. If you are really going to be skiing alot of pow this year's seth (98 under foot, mini-rocker, moderatley stiff) or next years seth (105 under foot, slightly bigger rocker and more stiff) would fill the bill.

none of the skis mentioned so far "charge". a msp might be a good balance between playfulness and actual charging ability, i loved mine in a 183 and they ripped. (note msp is not "charging ski either). you should get a rockered ski no question though...its not just a fad hombre. maybe check out a 186 ehp (very stiff by NS standards) rocker makes skis ski shorter, so it might not be a bad call. also i feel liek ski length has more to do with your height then your weight sometimes

Yeah I'm not looking for hard core chargers like Salomon x wing labs or anything like that I just want them to be able to bomb runs without flopping everywhere.
