Need some opinions...

Wondering what everyone thinks about the Volkl Gotama as a good Fat all mtn ski??? Let me know if you have ridden them before becuase i am thinking of replacing my Salomon Gun's with them.
 
They kick ass. As long as the snow's not icy or insanely wind-blown they'll go straight through anything. They float really well, have a great flex, and are basically superior to the guns in every way imaginable. I think they're too wide to use as an every day ski, but I know people who have done it and they still loved them.
 
do they skitter real bad on the ice or is it just the usual troubles on ice? I am a big guys so I am not too worried about the width cause i can usually power through anything...
 
Well they are more of a powder ski so they aren't going to get into the ice like something stiffer would. But with the flex that they have the only thing keeping you from skiing really hard snow is the width so if you can overcome that you're set.
 
Thanks man good to hear... I am thinking of either sticking s912 ti b95's on them or go with some scratch 120's with technica diablo flames
