Need some advice

My parents told me last night they would buy a plane ticket to anywhere in north america and give me enough money for the first month's rent of a condo and a season pass to whatever mountain I wanted. After that i would be on my own. My school is being gay and is probably going to not let me attend anymore since I am refusing to let them stick a needle in my arm once a week to draw 2 quarts of blood to make sure, godforbid, I have the deadly ganja in my system.

the problem is I know I am way better than a highschool dropout and this would fuck over my future. I was thinking about trying to go finish up highschool out in the west coast. Id need to find a place to stay right on the mountain so I could work there and ski the rest of the time

I know its only 5 more months and I should just stay and push through it but I dont know if i can take it anymore. At home and at school. I mean would they really not give me credit if I walked into Aspen High or wherever and said I want to take classes and graduate
 
Stay at home and finish high school, even if you have to go to finish in a different public school in your area. Private high schools seem like kind of a waste of money and time if you dont really take it seriously (i understand I prob wouldnt either). Living on your own may sound great, but its really hard. Rent, leases, roommates, money is fucking hard to get, good jobs can be hard to get. Your family seems to have alot of money, and if you go to college and they are stoked about it, you will get lots of money for rent/skiing in the future. Stay in the dorms your first year, they are ill.

In my opinion it would be smarter to just finish up high school in your local area because it will be easiest and people know you there as well as you have a local address, unless you can contact some other school, but i bet if you tell them the situation they me skeptical.

If you really want to ski out west this year, there is always summer camps mang as well as next year:) Sometimes you just got to make some sacrifices and get shit done.
 
get the fuck outta that school go to a public school around you then work all summer get a nice bankroll then go to school out west or get a night time job so you can ski during the day and ski

Honestly you need to sit down with them and tell them you don't wanna be a dropout. And point out the fact that even though you smoke the reefer your still passing. At that point if they don't show any signs of change then just finish high school off and then move. Find a nice place near a mtn out west, attend a college for film, cus I know you love that, and I know of a few right next to Breck. Go there get a degree and then just do your thing.

No one ever said you had to make millions, just do what makes you happy, ie filming and skiing, and as long as you can pay the rent month to month and have cash left over why the fuck wouldn't you.

Just get through High school first.

I am sure we will talk about this again next time we go skiing.
 
i would definately finish highschool, ya your school is being overly concerned but don't dropout to smoke weed and ski. Think about if you just tough out the last 5 months and then you can smoke drink and ski in college, i take it you go to a private school this will help you get into an even better college and in the end it will definately be worth it. it will be much easier to buy weed and ski gear if you have a good job after/during college.
 
adrian! stay and graduate high school. pleeeease then we can both graduate and party this summer. think about it. winter is here so every weekend you can go skiing. You'll be out west soon enough. I really don't think it's worth it to move out west half way through senior year. it seems dope now, but if you went out there, you'd have no parents, no one to discipline you, and more distractions. chances are you wouldn't end up graduating and that's no bueno for your future. you're smart adrian, dont fuck it up by not getting a diploma.

and then next year, you can get a house in Breck, I'll go to school in Boulder, and we can have the best time ever :)
 
dude, stay in school. its super important. it may seem tempting to move out here but in july when you cant make rent you will be regreting it. if you want to move to summit now is not the time either. do it at the begining of the season because right now everyone is looking for people to get rid of. not people to hire. maybe transfer to public school and walk, then come to cmc and do your thing. if you ever need help out here though, let me know. im in summit 4 days a week and can help with just about anything. good luck man. also look at western state college. its a 4 year school that is super respectable and its only 30 minutes away from skiing.
 
grad. then move to tamarack and buy a ski in ski out cabin.

adrian i'm so sorry, this seems like a completely awful/shitty situation to be in. but i vote you stay in high school here in new england.. but maybe go to a public school instead? and then go out west for college after working this summer... you should look into CSU. i think you'd like it.

be prepared to live a shitty ass life if you move out now.....all the "bank" that people are saying that you'll make over the summer isn't going to come remotely close to enough to being enough for food, rent, skiing, and everyday necesities (in your case, weed).

trust me, you won't make enough. not to mention it'll be fucking hard to get a job when you have to tell people that high school was just too much for you to deal with. think about the job interview.....sorry buddy, but if you drop out, you'll be looked upon as a total fuck up.
 
Do as Mr. T says. It's just 5 more months and it passes really quick. It may seem more tempting to go west now but staying in school and waiting a little will have it's rewards in the future.

Party all summer then go out west before winter and rip the shit out of those big mountains full of snow.

Conclusion?: Fuck El-Nino and the climate changes
 
id prolly finish school here then move out to northstar man, ill be right behind you next year after i graduate seriously. get a house near the mtn and split the rent with a few other ppls. no college for you?

i think everyone in this thread has the right idea.

school blows. you know it, i know it, everyone knows it. youll have to stick it out in a public school for the rest of the year, but youll live..a lot of us have done it the whole way and its not that bad. you will definitely be relieved when its all over. good luck man.

no most of you guys dont get it, all you can say is "stop smoking weed" but that has nothing to do with my situation right now. I shouldnt of even brought that up

ive decided to jus stay and finish this shit up, hopefully theyll accept the fact im not taking bloodtests and I wont have to switch schools again. Gona finish my apps to college, then just 6 more months and i never have to deal with this bullshit ever again. ill work all summer then head out west in the fall
 
You don't want to go to school because they make sure you don't smoke weed? If weed is worth missing school and probably becoming a nobody in life then go for it.

Schools shouldnt have the right to know anything about you outside of school. Thats so fucking ridiculous i cant believe that shit. If i went there i would smoke weed and test positive for it then after that i would stop for 3 weeks to be clean then pop like 80 mgs of ritalin so i would test positive for methamphetamines and might as well pop some adderall to test for speed and see what those fuckers do about that.

Id find some way around getting made into a pin cushion, theres gotta be a way. They definatly cant make you, your not doing anything wrong. its like your right to choose what you do with your body. good luck man.
 
Yo why dont you guys just leave the kid alone...he clearly said he is stayin in school so he made the right choice. Who gives a fuck if other people smoke weed its not affecting you. You'll be fine man goodluck the rest of this year.

everyone chill, adrian, all i can say is, try to suck it up, graduate, lay off the smoking a little, try in school, do your work, find a local job aroudn you, and go to Boulder where you belong, work hard there every weekday, weekends go out and ski the sweetest mountains, from now till then it depends on how bad you want it, do you want to sit around aftering dropping out and doinf jack shit, or get good grades and skiiiii nigga, its your life adrian, your choices
